All works shall be completed to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge 7 RENOVATION OF EXISTING STRUCTURE (OHT OF 200 KL/18M STAGING, BOUNDARY WALL & PUMP HOUSES) 8 Scaffolding:Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to seven-storey height, made with 40 mm dia M.S. tubes at 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joined with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps, and M.S. staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc., and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter.The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connections with the building etc. wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc., complete as per directions and approval of the Engineer-in-Charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purposes. The payment will be made once irrespective of the duration of scaffolding.Note: This item is to be used for maintenance work judicially; necessary deduction for scaffolding in the existing item is to be done 9 Surface Preparation:Chipping of unsound/weak concrete material from slabs, beams, columns etc. with manual chisel and/or by standard power-driven percussion type tools of approved make, including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities, including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes etc., and disposal of debris for all leads and lifts, all complete by using alkaline chemical rust remover of approved make applied with paint brush, and removing loose particles after 24 hours of its application with wire brush and thoroughly washing with water and allowing it to dry, all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. 10 Injection Grouting in Vertical Surface/Wall:Placing and fixing nozzles by drilling machine in tank wall having minimum diameter of nozzle 15 mm, and provided at regular intervals not exceeding 1.0 m (the center-to-center distance of nozzles shall not be more than 1.0 m), including construction joints. Injection of Pidicrete AM (polymer-based, high-strength, shrinkage-compensated grout) admixed with cement through nozzles under pressure by sump at the rate of 250 grams per bag of cement. Sealing the nozzles after grouting with polymer product mixed with cement 11 Repairing of Spalled and Loose Concrete:Where reinforcement is exposed, apply Fixit Rust Remover by means of brush to the reinforcement for cleaning bars and steel surface. Then apply a bonding coat of acrylic-based polymer with cement slurry in 1:1 ratio to the pre-wetted concrete by brush.Now apply the mixture of 1:1 cement and coarse sand to the prepared substrate when the primer becomes tacky. The repair shall be done using 50 mm thick M25 grade concrete.(Taking 20% of the total surface area of OHT) 12 Dismantling of all existing sluice valves of Inlet/Outlet/Washout and sluice valve chambers and replace all the valves with DI sluice valves including reconstruction of sluice valve chambers, repairing/replacement of vertical pipes/rubber packings, grouting of vertical pipes at cone wall of the OHT, replacement of existing M.S. ladder with S.S. ladder (The size of SS 304 rectangular tube shall be 50x100 mm with a minimum 3.0 mm wall thickness) inside the tank, replacement of M.H. cover with fixing of frame on the top dome, replacement of mosquito jali with a new one complete.
