Providing And Fixing Road Safety Devices/Equipment At Ashoka Road.- 1 Taking out existing kerb stones of all types from footpath/ central verge, including removal of mortar etc., disposal of unserviceable material to the dumping ground, for which payment shall be made separately and stacking of serviceable material within 50 metre lead as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. 2 Providing and fixing of Flexible Urban Delineator wherein post and base shall be made of Poly-urethane. The post shall be semi flat and semi-circular in construction. The flat surface of the post shall be used for branding/displaying department name/logo. The product shall be made of PU (Poly-urethane). Which helps in returning the post to its original position without damaging the product or vehicle. The retro reflective tape applied on the post shall be as per ASTM D 4956 and shall be of pattern less reboundable. The message area for printing shall be 100 x 400 mm (minimum). The height of the post shall be 750 mm(minimum), the width of the post shall be 120 mm (minimum). the weight of the flexible urban delineator not less than 1500 grams. The flexible urban delineator shall be applied in gaps in median, traffic islands, dangerous bends, roundabouts etcas per direction and entire satisfaction of Engineer-In-Charge 3 Providing and fixing Twin Molded Shank RPM out of ASA or HIPS or ABS or any other suitable material approved by the Engineer with reflective panels consisting of number of lenses containing single or dual prismatic cube capable of providing total internal reflection of light entering the lens face. The road stud width shall be 125mm minimum and height shall be not less than 10 mm and not exceeding 20mm. The marker shall support a load of 13635 Kg minimum tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. Two cylindrical polymer shanks of not less than 20mm diameter and not less than 30mm length shall be molded in the RPM body. The slope of the reflective road stud shall be 35 +/- 5 degree to base and area of each lens shall not be less than 13 sq. cm. The stud shall also meet all the testing conditions of ASTM D4280 and must be fixed to the road surface using the epoxy adhesive only as recommended by the manufacturer. Each reflector lens must have Coefficient of Luminous Intensity (C.I.L) as specified in Table 16.48 CPWD Specifications 2019, Vol II. The road stud shall comply to tests as per ASTM D 4280. The road stud shall be tested to support a load of 13635 Kg minimum and for Coefficient of Luminous Intensity (C.I.L) from government laboratory (CRRI/ARAI/ICAT/CPRI) as per direction and entire satisfaction of Engineer-In-Charge 4 Providing and fixing Solar Raised Pavement markers made out of polycarbonate molded body with circular share, solar powered, LED self-illumination in active mode, 360-degree illumination and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face in passive mode. The marker shall support a load of 20,000 kg(minimum) tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280. The marker should be resistant to dust and water ingress according to IP 65 standards and should withstand temperatures in the range of 0 C to 70 C. Typical frequency of blinking is 1 Hz. There should be current losses of less than 20 micro amperes at 2.4V in sleep charging mode to enhance the life of the marker and a full charge should provide for a minimum autonomy of 50 hours. The height, width and length shall not be less than 10 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm. Also, the surface diameter of the marker shall not be less than 100 mm. The weight of the marker shall not exceed 0.5 kilograms. Fixing will be done by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive and complete as directed by the engineer. The Solar Raised Pavement markers shall be tested for Compression strength of 20000 Kg minimum, IP 65 rating, Blinking frequency from government lab (CRRI/ARAI/ICAT/CPRI or certificate for compression strength test ) as decided by Engineer-In Chage. The work shall be completed as per direction and entire satisfaction of Engineer-In-Charge 5 Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-40 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete etc. as per direction of Engineer-in-charge (length of finished kerb edging shall be measured for payment). (Precast C.C. kerb stone shall be approved by Engineer-in-charge). 6 Providing and fixing Anti-Glare should be made out of HDPE (High Density Poly Ethylene) material through blow moulding process. Colour of the Anti-Glare Board should be green, dark grey or any other desired color and UV stabilised so that it may not get discoloured even after a long time. The Anti-Glare Board should be so durable that it can bear heavy wind pressure. The Anti-Glare should be designed with 6 small windows to over pass excess wind during stormsDimensions:• Total Height from Centre 900mm minimum: Width 275mm minimum.• Base 200x50mm minimum: Wall Thickness: 3 mm minimum.• Weight: 900 mm 1.375 kg minimum. And 600 mm 1.00 kg minimum• Fixing with metal clamps• Reflector: 75mm minimum reflector is fixed on both side for night time visibility 75mm dia Message / department logo stickers made out of pattern less, reboundable retro reflectivesheeting as per ASTM D 4956, digitally printed (Logo or any other message) onprinting platform with green ink technology and further extra layer of UV transparent overlay film pasted to protect and enhance the life of the product. as per direction and entire satisfaction of Engineer-In-Charge 7 Providing and fixing advance warning speed arrester stud made out of poly carbonate/ABS molded body and highly reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face with retro reflectance and chromaticity values shall be as given in the detailed specifications and the product shall conform to minimum ASTM D4280 and also meet all the testing conditions of ASTM D4280 listed for RPM (Raised Pavement Marker). The testing and test report shall be as per IRC 35 clause 5.1.2. The speed arrester should be fixed to the road surface using the adhesive recommended by the manufacturer. The length, height and width of the body shall not be less than 150 mm, 9 mm and 90 mm with a tolerance of +/-1 mm. The marker shall support a load of 30000 Kg minimum tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The area of each side of micro prismatic reflective lens shall not be less than 15.0 sqcm. The slope or retro reflective surface shall be 25 + 2 degree to base. It should have one Shank of not less than 25 mm diameter and not less than 40 mm length moulded with the body for anchorage. The certificate confirming to initial CIL value for reflective lens not less than 125 for red lens, 250 for yellow lens & 400 for white lens at 0º entrance and 0.2 observation angle as per ASTM D4280 shall be provided for better visibility & improving road safety for commuters as per direction and entire satisfaction of Engineer-In-Charge 8 Disposal of building rubbish / malba / similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste materials by mechanical means, including loading, transporting and unloading the same at any C & D waste management site within 25 kms. lead i.e. Shastri park/ Burari/ Mundka including weighing at plant etc. complete as per direction of Engineer in charge. Weighing and unloading at the plant shall be as per procedures/ rules of the plant management. The rates are inclusive of all operations, labours, leads and lifts from site of work to the C & D waste plant. The processing fee of C & D management at prescribed rates will be deposited by the agency and the same shall be reimbursed by the department on production of only original cash receipts. 9 Purchase and taken away the dismantled material seviceable/ unserviceable which is to be received from the work shall be taken away by the contractor as and where basis for which cartage shall be borne by the contractor himself and against these material payment shall be made by the contractor to the department or necessary recoveries shall be made from the bill as per the quantities received for different materials. a)Kerb Stone
