Sand filling in foundation trenches and at the back of abutments, wing-walls etc. with good local sand free from earth in layers not exceeding 15 cm. including inundating each layer by profuse water and poking and ramming layer by layer complete including supply of sand. Quality of sand is to be approved by the Engineer-in-charge.Including supply of different materials as per approved specification. Coarse Sand (Grading Zone I as per IS:383 1970) Stacked at site.Note: 1. The above rates are inclusive of all charges such as Royalty, Supervision Charges, etc. and also include allowance for sinkage, as applicable, and/or shrinkage and 10% Contractor’s Profit but exclusive of GST.

Pumping out water from ponds or tanks.(Payment if permitted will be made on the quantity of water calculated on the basis of initial water level and final level on consideration being made for any water that may have been added through percolation or otherwise).

Geotechnical investigation for the NTPC pond including sampling and testing (SPT) with boring and testing work, including setting up boring rigs and shifting to different bore-hole points etc. Field investigation: (vi) Standard Penetration Tests (S.P.T.) by Split Spoon Sampler in the bore hole as per IS:2131. Carriage of all disturbed & undisturbed samples from site and also including withdrawal of same from the site after completion of work, complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Earthwork in excavation in all kinds of soil for making embankments, repairs to the embankment, closing breaches etc. as per profile including supply and transporting the earth by truck or tractor or any other mechanical means on land , including loading, transporting, unloading and stacking with all lifts both-ways and head load where necessary and depositing the same on embankments, channels, filling depressions in requisite profile, levelling as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge within a lead of e) Beyond 4.00 km and up to 5.00 km

Extra rate for puddling earth / Sand (Vibratory Probes) in layer of 15 cm. including watering and ramming, if necessary, all complete as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Carriage of materials: Earth - Additional lead for carriage of materials. Net lead 23.37 km
