Tender For Certain Sanctioned Works Of Roads And Road Furnitures Under Ge (N) Bikaner At Mil Stn Bikaner; 1 M&L for preparing black top bituminous surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a premix/tack coat of paving bitumen grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated on hot pressure mechanism, Providing and laying spreading 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) of Premix Bituminous Concrete with crushed aggregates of grading 2 as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content(bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing with electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work at site by tippers and laying, spreading uniformly by means of hydrostatic paver finisher and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and directed.Notes :(i) Paving bitumen of Grade VG-10 for premix/tack coat and bitumen of Grade VG-30 for Bituminous Concrete shall be used and procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (ii) Cost of all the materials, T&P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces, applying tack coat, providing and laying bituminous concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand, cement etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item. 2 Description of serial item No. 1.00 contd…)(iii) Computerised print out of data of bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant shall be provided to the GE by contractor. (iv) The contractor shall quotes the rate against item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CIause No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BC shall be worked out from MNIT Jaipur/ MBM Jodhpur/ Govt Engineering College/ CTL for obtaining Optimum Binder Content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Department and the same be submitted to the Accepting Officer for approval. Any variation in binder content on Minus side shall be adjusted @ Rs 50/Kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on Plus side. (v) After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per Clause Nos. 507.4.8 and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. (vi) Cost of filler i.e cement, lime etc is deemed to be included in quoted rates. (vii) Job mix formula shall be approved by CWE 3 M&L for providing, laying, spreading premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous macadam in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing with electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work at site by tippers and laying, spreading uniformly by means of hydrostatic paver finisher and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and directed.Note :(i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CIause No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BM shall be worked out from MNIT Jaipur/MBM Jodhpur/ Govt Engineering Collage/Lab/ CTL for obtaining Optimum Binder Content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Department and same be submitted to the Accepting Officer for approval. Any variation in binder content on Minus side shall be adjusted @ 50/Kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on Plus side.(ii)The bituminous macadam (BM) shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within in a maximum of 48 hours. If there is to be any delay by the contractor the course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of Clause 512 of MORTH (5th Rev) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately.(iii) Job mix formula shall be approved by CWE 4 M&L for repairs to pot holes, not exc 1 square metre each, including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, on existing road surfaces, and making good applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 sqm, blinded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chipping, depth of pot holes exc 30mm, complete all as specified and as directed.Note :Job mix formula of premix bituminous macadam shall be approved by CWE. 5 M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc. and the like not exceeding 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed. 6 S&F delineator with ABS round body with 2 Nos 65mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA ( Polymethyl Methacrylate) and mounted on 50mm dia duly powder coated, antirust, anti theft steel net, overall 600mm height, delineator shall be fixed in plain cement concrete 1:2:4 Type B1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) block of size 150x150x300mm deep, including necessary excavation & earthwork, complete all as specified and as directed includingdismantling and taking out old unserviceable / broken delineator of any type.Notes :- (i)Delineator shall be of Model “DA 952 GP’ of make‘DARK EYE’ or equivalent of make GREENLITE / 3M / TATA BP / Avery Dennison / Alexis / Oscar / DEV / Surya / Sharp Eyez. (ii) Reflectors shall be positioned at the best eye guiding level so that drivers shall be warned from a safe distance. 7 S&F Solar road Stud of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (shank 65mm), aluminium alloy shell, electronically operated automatically turns ON at night and turns OFF at day, high efficiency mono crystalline solar panel 2.4 V / 0.3 Watt, one Ni-Mh or Ni-Cd rechargeable battery (1.2 V / 1600 MA), six super bright LEDs with 10000 to 18000 mcd (Millicandela), view distance upto 1000m, flash rate 2 Hz, capable to withstand weight upto 10 tonne, unbreakable poly carbonate clear facing designed for maintenance free operation, 100% water proof design according to IP-65, Red or Amber colour, complete all as specified and as directed includingdismantling and taking out old unserviceable / broken solar road stud of any type.Notes :- (i) Solar Stud shall be of Model “DA 110 (DHRUV)’ of make‘DARK EYE’ or equivalent of make GREENLITE / 3M / TATA BP / Avery Dennison / Alexis / Oscar / DEV / Surya / Sharp Eyez. (ii) Reflector shall be positioned at the best eye guiding level so that drivers shall be warned from a safe distance. 8 Supply and fixing cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 110mm x 120mm x 24mm with PAMA striplens reflector fixed with and including MS stud of suitable size as per manufacturer’s instructions complete all as specified and as directed including dismantling and taking out old unserviceable / broken road stud / cat eye of any type.Notes :- (i) Cat eye solar reflective shall be of Model “DA 972’ of make‘DARK EYE’ or equivalent of make GREENLITE / 3M / TATA BP / Avery Dennison / Alexis / Oscar / DEV / Surya / Sharp Eyez. (ii) Reflector shall be positioned at the best eye guiding level so that drivers shall be warned from a safe distance. 9 Surface dressing not exc 15cm deep in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed. 10 Removing excavated soil/material to a distance not exc 50 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.50 metre above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed. 11 M&L for hardcore of broken stone or boulders, gauge not exc. 63mm, deposited, spread and leveled in layers not exc 15 cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface complete all as specified and as directed. 12 M&L for PCC 1:4:8 type D2 using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in foundations, filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and as directed. 13 M&L for cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1, using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in plinth courses, copings, kerb stone and the like including weathering, slightly rounded, chamfered angle and throating as directed including useand waste of form work (straightor curved) all exposed surface of concrete finished fair complete all as specified & as directed. 14 M&L for 100 mm thick PCC (1:4:8) type D2 using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate as insub base, complete all as specified and as directed. 15 M&L for factory made 80mm thick machine pressed precast cement concrete coloured designer polished (reflecting type) interlocking paver blocks of Grade M-40 conforming to IS 15658-2006 of shape and size as directed with grey cement and no pigment with coloured top casted in an automatic plant working on vibration and simultaneous hydraulic compression from top, laid over & including 25mm thick sand cushioning, joints of blocks filled with dry sand and compacted with mechanical vibrator complete all as specified & as directed.Note : Shape & colour of paver blocks shall be as approved by the GE. 16 M&L for Moorum / red bajri in road side berms or paving, laid in layers not exc 150mm spread thickness, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber using with 8 to 10 tonne mechanical power road roller including watering as in granular sub base and light wearing surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. 17 M&L for continuous Jodhpur stone slab edging, not less than 20mm thick, 20 cm to 25 cm wide (for depth of edging) and 30 cm to 35 cm long, laid dry vertically, jointing and pointing in CM 1:4, each stone slab self faced on both the vertical sides, edges slightly true and square on top edge, hammer dressed for the full thickness so that the depression from a straight edge held against the surfaces shall not exceed 20mm between two joints of slab including necessary excavation and embedding stone edging to depth required and tamping ground around stone edging and also includingspreading surplus soil on berms complete all as specified and as directed.Notes:-(i) The stone slabs shall be laid abutting to each other in such a way that thickness of edging is equal to thickness of stone slabs and depth of edging is equal to width of stone slabs. (ii) The stone slabs shall be obtained from “Chitter quarry” at “Jodhpur”.(iii) In case edging is laid on both sides of a road, each side of road shall be measured and paid for separately. 18 M&L for continuous Jodhpur stone slab edging, not less than 20mm thick, 20 cm to 25 cm wide (for depth of edging) and 30 cm to 35 cm long, laid dry vertically, jointing and pointing in CM 1:4, each stone slab self faced on both the vertical sides, edges slightly true and square on top edge, hammer dressed for the full thickness so that the depression from a straight edge held against the surfaces shall not exceed 20mm between two joints of slab including necessary excavation and embedding stone edging to depth required and tamping ground around stone edging and also including spreading surplus soil on berms and including taking down old kerb stone complete all as specified and as directed.Notes:-(i) The stone slabs shall be laid abutting to each other in such a way that thickness of edging is equal to thickness of stone slabs and depth of edging is equal to width of stone slabs. (ii) The stone slabs shall be obtained from “Chitter quarry” at “Jodhpur”.(iii) In case edging is laid on both sides of a road, each side of road shall be measured and paid for separately. 19 Material and labour for preparation to newly concrete painted surface of any description over 10cm girth or width not otherwise described and apply two coats of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and directed.
