| 25 | Material and labour for earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60×60cm×6mm thick electrode burried directly in ground (earth pit notless than 2.25 m deep below GL) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m below the normal ground level connected with 25 x 4 mm galvanized iron as earthing lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel including necessaryexcavation & earth work in any type of soil, removing surplus soil to a distance not exc 50m, with and including PCC chamber in PCC (1:2:4), type B1, using 20 mm graded stone aggregate, provn of 40 mm RCC with handle, watering arrangement with funnel internally secured with wire mesh with 20 mm dia medium grade GI pipe for watering, 40 mm dia light grade Gl pipe for lead protection in and including alternate layer of charcoal dust and common salt complete all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part-I (2009) connected to earthing test point all as specified and indicatedincluding testing on completion including retrieving of old GI earth plate, CI cover, GI pipes, angle iron frame from existing earthing as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.NOTE : - (i). Earthing strip GI/copper upto 7.5m will be measured and paid under this item only. (ii). The earth chamber shall be constructed 50 cm away from the edge of earth pit and the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the rate quoted for above item. (ii). Quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of cost of demolition of old earthing as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (iii). The new earthing so constructed must have resisitance value below 2 ohms. If the aforesaid resistance value is not achieved contractor has to make proper aadditions/alterations to the newly constructed earthing at his own cost. |
