    Specifications For Refurbishing Of Sound Proof Doors At Akashvani Calicut A. Specification For Repair Of Single Leaf Door : 1. Removing The Existing Decolam/Sunmica Sheet On Door Front ( Size 7Ft X 3.5Ft) And Around The Door Front Of By Scratching And Scrapping Using Sand Paper , Thereby Preparing The Surfaces For Pasting Of New Sunmica Shee Supply and fixing of 2MM sun mica sheet on door front after above work. Sun mica sheet has to be approved by Station authorities before procurement. 3. Replacing the existing rubber beeding around the door for providing the Sound proof tightness. 4. Replacing the Aluminium channel at the bottom of the door. 5. Removing and replacing existing 5MM teak ply at back of the door. The Teak Ply must be water and Termite Proof 6. Polishing the OST at the back of the door with 2 coats of sheen lac polish. 7. Replacing the existing door closers with departmentally supplied door closers. 8. Replacing the existing door handles with new door handles. New Door handles has to be approved by Station authorities before supply
