Tender For Design & Construction Of Pre-Engineered Hangar For Storage Of Materials Of High Speed Trains And Future Metro Items To Carry A Load Of 10 Ton Overhead Crane Capacity At A Given Point, Area Adjacent To Cylinder Stores In Beml Limited, Bangalore Complex, Bangalore-75.; A CIVIL WORKS: Scope of Work: Site Development 1. Site Survey:Conduct detailed topographical survey of the entire plot. Establish boundary lines, plot dimensions, existing structures, and ground levels. Set permanent benchmarks and layout reference points. 2. Surface Cleaning: Surface excavation in all kinds of soils including removal of rank vegetation/bushes, clearance of vegetation, cutting tree stumps, bushes, clearance of rubbish, debris, and any foreign materials. Removal of construction debris/any other unwanted materials & disposal of debris outside the site premeises not exceeding 5KM which is not objected by any othe local civic authorities. 3. Site Leveling and Grading: Perform cutting and filling as per the required formation levels.Ensure final grading complies with drainage and slope requirements as per the site plan. 4. Testing of Soil – Safe Bearing Capacity (SBC): Conduct geotechnical investigation, including test pits or boreholes, to determine SBC at required depths. Laboratory tests to determine soil characteristics (density, moisture, permeability, shear strength, etc.). Submit detailed soil report with recommendations for foundation type and depth based on SBC findings. 5. Final Site Preparation: Ensure site is fully cleaned, graded, and compacted.Submit drawings of as-built levels, compaction test results, and soil test reports. (Approximate Total Area 2400 Sqm). 6 Preparation & submission of good for execution drawing as hard copy( 03 copies A2 or A3 size colour drawings ) and soft copy ( both in Autocad & PDF ) viz Plan,sections,elevations of hangar/shed. The contractor shall submit the detailed PEB structural and architectural designs and drawings (plans, sections, elevations) for foundation and superstructure, interior layout of Civil, Electrical & Plumbing, in 3D format along with a walk through including submission of detailed Estimate, measurements and incorporate any further suggestions and changes suggested by BEML Note 2: a) The approximate (tentative) area considered for Design and construction of a complete hangar & Locker & documentation room of approx area 2400 Sqm including all necessary foundations for steel structures to support a crane (02 Nos) with a 10-ton loading capacity at any point. b) The gantry height to be 12.0meters approx. c) Construction of Gents & ladies toilet. d) New RCC Storm water drain: Approx length 250.0 RMT. 2 Demolition/ dismantling the existing plain cement concrete flooring/hardstanding concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided etc and stacking of serviceable materials if any and disposal of unusable materials or debris outside the site premises to a distance not exceeding 5.0 KM which is not objected by any civic authorities including lead ,lift etc,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. Note: The dismantled materials shall be removed immediately from the premises without disturbing the regular production activities . Cu.M 200.00 3 Earthwork excavation by mechanical/ manual means in foundation trenches, pits not exceeding 1.50m in depth in all kinds of soil including getting out the excavated earth, dressing of sides, dewatering ground water/ rain water if any, compaction including disposal of debris/unserveciable surplus earth outside the site premises to a distance not exceeding 5.0KM which is not objected by any civic authorities including lead ,lift etc,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. Cu.M 1000.00 4 Earth work excavaion by mechanical means/manual means in foundation trenches exceeding 1.5 Mts in depth & not exceeding 3 mts in depth in all kinds of soil but excluding hard rock for foundations/ pits including getting out the excavated earth and disposal of debris out side the premises to a distance exceeding 1.5m ¬ exceeding 5km, disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed including dressing of sides, dewatering ground water/rain water, compaction etc.,complete all as specified and as directed by engineer in charge. Cu.M 480.00 5 Providing and laying in Position Plain cement concrete of mix proportion 1:3:6 using 40mm graded down size granite aggregate, well compacted for foundation bed, under floors and other similar works including curing etc.,complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge. Note: The rate quoted by the Contractor for the item is deemed to include for providing and removal of form work/centering/shuttering wherever necessary. Cu.M 100.00 6 Providing, and laying in position Reinforced Cement Concrete M20 grade 1:1.5:3, using 20mm graded down size granite aggregate machine mixed for Beams,etc complete including curing, vibrating, compacting, finishing,dewatering wherever necessary including lead, lift etc., complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. Note: a) Reinforcement shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item. b) The rate quoted for the item is deemed to include for providing and removal of form work/centering/shuttering wherever necessary.c) The rate is deemed to include for providing RCC Duct slab. Cu.M 390.00 7 Returning & filling the available earth in plinth, trenches, foundations or around plinth with approved good quality earth of non swelling type, free from organic materials, consolidating in layers of not more than 200mm including watering, compaction, etc complete all as specficed and directed by Engineer in charge. Note: Net consolidated volume shall be measured for payment puposes. Cu.M 380.00 8 Providing and constructing size stone masonry superstructure wall built in CM 1:6, well bonded, bedded and solidly hearted in courses not less than 20cms high using good quality granite size stones including chisel/hammer dressing to face stones & corner stones of pillars including curing etc., complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in charge. Cu.M 120.00 9 Supplying and laying soling of 200mm compacted thickness below floor/foundation with good broken boulders/ soling or quarried stones of 150 to 200mm size laid in layers,well packed to the correct line & level, interstices filled with stone chips, sand or moorum and consolidated including transportation, etc., complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge. Note: For payment consolidated thickness shall be considered. Sqm 2100.00 10 Providing and laying laterite/40mm jelly/ DLC above soling, including spreading, consolidating and rolling to required gradient etc., complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge. Sqm 2100.00 11 Providing TMT bars (Fe 500 grade) in reinforcement conforming to relevant IS in various diameters for various locations & levels as shown in drawing, cut to length and bent to shape required, binding spirally with MS wire (annealed) of size not less tha 0.9 mm dia and placing in position including all lead, lift, labour, tools & tackles, plant & machinery etc., complete all as specified and directed by Engineer In-charge. Note: a) The rate quoted by the contractor for the item is deemed to include for cement mortar cover blocks as per the requirement at site and providing and removal of scaffolding/ staging wherever necessary. b) Reinforcement will be measured based on actual quantity placed in position on standard weight basis, no allowance will be made for rolling margin. c) Only authorized laps, chairs and spacers shall be measured and paid. MT 12.00 Design & Construction of PEB Structure: a) Structural design of foundation, superstructure as per IS codes considering SBC of soil/soil test report. Discussion with Beml regarding the same and suggesting the most economical & feasible option to Beml considering the availablity of materials & life of structure. Submission of structural design report with third party certification of design from reputed Government/semi-government institutes,IITs,NITs etc., b). Preparation & submission of good for execution drawing as hard copy( 03 copies A2 or A3 size colour drawings ) and soft copy ( both in Autocad & PDF ) viz Plan,sections,elevations of hangar/shed. JSW/TATA make single skin HI-Rib trapezoidal profile PPGL colour coated (sky blue) sheeting for cladding 1060mm supply width, 975mm-1000mm covered width 29mm-30mm crest height, 24mm crest width with min. 195mm-200mm pitch in 0.60mm thick TCT. g) Design, Supply and fixing 0.50mm thick Gal valume ridge sheet, fixed to the existing MS structural steel members etc including all hardware/ fixtures like nylon head self tapping corrosion protected mechanically galvanised fasteners with integral washer etc., EIC h) Design, Supply and fixing M/s.Tuflite/PC Lite/Lexon/Equivalent make corrugated 2mm thick uniform thickness polycarbonate sheet for roof conforming to relevant IS with necessary hardware screws/ washers and sealant, (15% of total roof area to be covered for skylite insulation.) NOTE: Design and construction of a complete hangar & Locker & documentation room of approx area 2400 Sqm including all necessary foundations for steel structures to support a crane (02 Nos) with a 10-ton loading capacity at any point.
