Tender For Repair To Certain Roads Under Aor Of Age B/R- I Of Ge (N) Patiala; 1 Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaes in roads etc cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal)complete all as specified and as directed. 2 Material and labour for preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc,sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming / tack coat of paving bitumen grade VG 10 @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm mannualy or with mechanical sprayer complete all as specified and as directed. 3 Material and labour for providing and laying Bituminous Macadam (BM) of consolidated thickness 35 mm to 70 mm,using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 with binder contents @ 4.0% (Four percentage) by weight of total mix ,premix the agregates with bituminous binder,bitumen grade VG-30 @ 4.0% (Four percentage) by weight of total mixin in electronic operated 100-120 THP Batch Type Hot Mix Plant,transporting hot mix material from HMP to site by tippers etc, laid over the previously prepared surface with hydrostatic paver finisher ( paver is not compolusory in patch works) rolled and compacted to the required gradient and camber with 8-12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollersall as per clause 504 ofMORTH Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), to achieve the desiredcompaction and density complete all as specified and as directed. 4 Note :- (i)The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content.Job Mix Design formula for bituminous macadam shall be got designed from NIT / CTL / Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department.Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 4.0% by weight of total mix as per clause 504.2.4 of MORTH specifications (Fifth Revision).(ii) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs. 50.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made. 5 Material and labour for Providing and layingBituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix. The premix Bituminious concrete is prepared by mixing the crushed stone aggregate of grading 2 with bitumen grade VG-30,anti srtipping agent,warm mix additive of quntity as per design mix,in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant,transporting hot premixed bituminous mixfrom HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrauic pavers finisher as approved , rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8-12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratiotry and tendem roller complete as per clause 507 MORTH 5th revision and as specified and as directed. 6 Notes : (i)The contractor shall quote the rate against items binder contents of grade VG-30 paving bitumen5.5% by wt of total mix .(ii)Job mix formula as per clause No 505.3.3 of MORTH Specifications for Road and Bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT / CTL / Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department.The bitumen content shall not be less than 5.5% by weight of total mix as per clause 507.2.5 of MORTH specifications (Fifth Revision).(iii) The cost of materials, transportation, Job Mix Formula from lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iv)Cost of filler i.e rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemedto be included in unit rate. (iv) If qty of binder contents comes is less in design mix than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs.50.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents comes more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.(vi)After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MORTH Specifications entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8 - 10 tonnes (Smooth Wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8 - 10 tonnes static weight, followed by finish rolling with 6 to 8 tonnes smooth sheeled tandem roller as per clause No 507.4.8 of MORTH Specifications (Fifth Revision) and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. 7 Material and labour for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and applying road marking paint 2.5 mm thick width n exc. 15 cm with hot appliedthermoplastic road marking paint like stop lines, dashes, arrows etc of approved colour conforming to BS 3262-1989 with 20% glass beads (intermixed) spread and laid by automatic mechanical machine engine at approx temprature of 160 degree celcius with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instructions completeas specified and asdirected. 8 Supply and fixing metal tubular dealineator made out of ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos 65 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on 45/50 mm dia mild steel pipe of 600 mm height duly powder coated and thermo plastic elastomer 3 bands of green,red and yellow reflector radium tape of 25 mm wide strips with anti theft steel net for reflector protection including embedding in cement concrete 1:2:4type B-1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregates block of size (150x150x300mm)including necessary excavation and earth work complete all as specified and as directed 9 Supply and fixing solar cat eye of aluminum alloy shall (light sensor 100% water proofing design according to 65) of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (shank 65mm) of high efficiency Mono rystafie solar panel 2.4V/0.3 watt one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/1600MA) consisting of super bright 3 LEDs of colour red/yellow on one side with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd complete as per manufactures instructions etc. The stud shall be fixed to the road surface using adhesive and zinc plated nails conforming to IS as per manufacturer recommendations, Make of road cat eyeshall be as approved by GE complete all as specified and directed 10 Supply and fixing in repair convex mirror of dia 80 cm with complete fixing arrangement as per manufacturer instructions including fixing of mild steel post complete all as specified and as directed 11 Material and labour for Speed bump of dimension 350 x 250 x 53mm made out of ABS with resistance, wear tear properly highly reflectors moulded in PMMA material, welded with ABS base plate, base fixed on roads with adhesive & Zinc plated nails as recommended by the manufacturers complete all as specified and as directed.
