Tender For Special Repairs And Maintenance Work At Kelshi Lighthouse Station; 1 Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to all height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it there after .The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and approval of Engineerin-charge .The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding. 2 Removing dry or oil bound distemper,Synthetic Enamel paint, water proofing cement paint etc from interior and exterior wall surfaces of lighthouse tower/door/windows and the like by scrapping, sand papering and preparing the surface smooth including necessary repairs to scratches etcincluding supply of all labour tools materials etc all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge 3 Providing and applying white cement based putty of average thickness 1 mm to interior surfaces of lighthouse tower of approved brand and manufacture (Asian/Burger/Shalimar), over the plastered wall surface to prepare the surface even and smooth completeincluding supply of all labour tools materials etc all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge 4 Applying one coat with water thinnable cement primer on wall surface having VOC content less than 50 grams/litre of approved brand and manufacture (Asian/Burger/Indigo) on wall surface completeincluding supply of all labour tools materials etc all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge 5 Painting with synthetic enamel paint in two or more coats on new work/sand papered of interior and exterior wall of lighthouse tower over an under coat of suitable shade with ordinary paint of approved brand and manufacture (Asian/Burger/Shalimar)of required colour to give an even shade including supply of all labour tools materials etc all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge 6 French spirit polishing on wood work two or more coats wherever required including supply of all materials, labours, tools etc. complete as directed by the engineer in charge 7 Providing and fixing factory made Fiberglass Reinforced plastics (F.R.P.) chajja 4 mm thick ofrequired colour, size and design made by Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) Machine Technology, resulting in void free compact laminate in single piece, having smooth gradual slope curvature for easy drainage of water and duly reinforced by 2 nos vertically and 1 nos horizontally 50x2 mm thick M.S. flat with 12 mm in built hole for grouting on the existing wall along with the 50 mm flanges duly inserted and sealed in the wall complete in one single piece casted monolithically, including all necessary fittings . The FRP Chajja should be manufactured using unsaturated Polyester resin as per IS: 6746, duly reinforced with fibre glass chopped strand mat (CSM) as per IS: 11551 complete with protective Gel coat U/V coating on Top for complete resistance from the extreme of temperature, weather & sunlight (Only plan area of chajjas shall be measured for making payment). 8 Providing and fixing factory made uPVC glazed/wire mesh Two track two panels sliding window with Aluminium channel for roller track, wool pile, nylon rollers with SS 304 body. Using R4 series with frame (64mm & above) x (45mm & above) & sash (44mm & above) x (55mm & above) with zinc alloy (zamak) powder coated handle on every panel along with multi-point locking system (Height above 1.8m) comprising of lead free uPVC multi-chambered frame, sash and mullion/coupler (where ever required) extruded profiles having minimum wall thickness of 1.70 mm for Series R1 and R2 profiles and 2.10 mm for Series R3 and R4 profiles conforming to EN: 12608 in any shape, colour and design duly reinforced with galvanized mild steel section made of required shape & size as per CPWD Specification, uPVC extruded glazing beads, interlocks and Inline sash adaptor (where ever required) of appropriate dimension, EPDM gasket, hardware, SS 304 grade fasteners of minimum 8 mm dia with countersunk head, comprising of matching polyamide PA6 grade sleeve for fixing frame to finished wall as per IS 1367 : Part 1 to 14, plastic packers, plastic caps and necessary stainless steel screws etc. Profile of frame, sash & mullion (if required) shall be mitred cut and fusion welded/mechanically jointed duly sealed at all corners, including drilling of holes for fixing hardware and drainage of water etc. After fixing frame the gap between frame and adjacent finished wall shall be filled with weather proof silicon sealant over backer rod of approved size and quality, all complete as per approved drawing conforming to CPWD specification & direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Section of steel reinforcement and cross sections of uPVC profiles to be as per design approved by Engineer-in-Charge. Wire mesh / Glazing of plain/ toughened/ laminated/ double glass unit with / without high performance coatings as per design requirements and conforming to IS: 3548 & IS: 16231 shall be paid separately.Note:- Structural design proof checked from a Government Engineering Institute, to be provided by the manufacturer for : (i) Sites with basic wind speed > 45 m/sec as per IS 875 – Part 3 (ii) Sites with structure height more than 20m for all wind speeds 9 Filling the gap Upto 5 mm depth and 5 mm width in between aluminium/ stone/ wood frame and adjacent RCC/Brick/ Stone/wood/ Ceramic/ Gypsum work by providing weather/structural non sag elastomeric PU sealant over backer rod of approved quality as per architectural drawings and direction of Engineer- in-charge complete, complying to ASTM C920, DIN 18540-F & ISO 11600 10 Clearing jungle including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush wood, trees and saplings of girth up to 30 cm measured at a height of 1 m above ground level and removal of rubbish up to a distance of 50 m outside the periphery of the area cleared, complete as directed by the engineer in charge. 11 Dismantling of existing wooden/steel doors, windows, ventilators, cupboards etc of frames and shutters without damaging the adjacent structure including removal of chowkhats, frames, architraves, holdfasts, hinges, fastening and other attachments and including stacking the serviceable materials for re-use and disposing the unserviceable materials from the site. Supply of all labours, tools and finishing etc. complete as directed by the engineer in charge. (of area 3 sq. metres and below) 12 Dismantling tile work for thickness of tiles 10 mm to 25 mm in floors and roofs laid in cement mortar including stacking the serviceable materials and disposing the unserviceable materials from the site with supply of all labours, tools and materials etc. complete as directed by the engineer in charge 13 Chipping of unsound/weak concrete material from slabs, beams, columns 50 mm average thickness with manual Chisel including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes etc. and disposal of debris for all lead and lifts all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge 14 Cleaning of reinforcement from rust from the reinforcing bars upto 12 mm diameter to give it a total rust freesteel surface by using alkaline chemical rust remover of approved make with paint brush and removing loose particles after 24 hours of its application with wire brush and thoroughly washing with water and allowing it to dry, all complete as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. 15 Providing and fixing hard drawn steel wire fabric of size 75 x25 mm mesh or other suitable size wire mesh to be fixed & firmly anchored to the concrete surface by means of L shaped mild steel shear key welded with existing reinforcement which is to applied with one coat of anti-corrosive paint including the cost of materials, labour, tool & plants as approved by Engineer-in-charge. 16 Providing, mixing and applying Epoxy bonding adhesive having coverage 2.20 sqm/kg of approved maker (Roff / Fosroc/ Basf ) on chipped portion of RCC/plaster surfaces as perspecifications and direction of Engineer-In-charge. 17 Providing, mixing and applying 25 mm average thickness in 2 layers of SBR polymer (of approved make) modified Cement mortar in proportion of 1:4 (1 cement: 4 graded coarse sand with polymer minimum 2% by wt. of cement used) as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.Note: Measurement and payment: The pre-measurement of thickness shall be done just after the surface preparation is completed and Payment under this item shall be made only after proper wet curing has been done and surface has been satisfactorily evaluated by sounding / tapping with a blunt metal instrument and/or the 75mm size cube crushing strength at the end of 28 days to be not less than 30 N/Sqmm2). 18 Providing and laying 3 mm thick APP (Atactic Polypropylene Polymer) modifiedprefabricated five layer 3 mm thick water proofing membrane, black finished reinforced with non-woven polyester matt consisting of a coat of bitumen primer for bitumen membrane @ 0.40 litre/sqm by the same membrane manufacture of density at 25°C, 0.87-0.89 kg/ litre and viscocity 70-160 cps. Over the primer coat the layer of membrane shall be laid using Butane Torch and sealing all joints etc, and preparing the surface complete. The vital physical and chemical parameters of the membrane shall be as under : Joint strength in longitudinal and transverse direction at 23°C as 650/ 450N/ 5cm. Tear strength in longitudinal and transverse direction as 300/250N. Softening point of membrane not less than 150°C. Cold flexibility shall be upto -2°C when tested in accordance with ASTM,D - 5147. The laying of membrane shall be got done through the authorised applicator of the manufacturer of membrane including the cost of all materials , labours ,tools & plants etc. etc. complete as directed by the engineer in charge. 19 Repair to plaster of thickness 12mm to 20 mm in patches of area 2.5 sqm and under, including cutting the patch in proper shape, raking out joints and preparing plastering the wall surface with white cement based polymer modified self curing mortar, including disposal of rubbish, all complete as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge 20 Painting two coats with acrylic emulsion paint of interior grade, having VOC (Volatile Organic Compound ) content less than 50 grams/ litre, of approved brand and manufacture, including applying additional coats wherever required, to achieve even shade and colour, complete as directed by the engineer in charge. 21 Finishing walls with Premium Acrylic Smooth exterior paint with Silicone additives of required shade (Asian/ Berger/Indigo) Old work (Two or more coats applied @ 1.43 ltr/ 10 sqm) over existing cement paint surfaceincluding supply of all materials, labours, tools, scaffoldings etc. complete as directed by the engineer in charge. 22 Painting with synthetic enamel paint (Asian/Burger/Nerolac) and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade, one or more coats on old work over metal/wooden/concrete sufaces after thoroughly brushing the surface with sand paper, scrappers to remove all dirt’s, spots, loose pieces of scales, cleaning, preparing the surface etc. wherever required including supply of all materials, labours, tools etc. complete as directed by the engineer in charge 23 Taking out existing CC interlocking paver blocks from footpath/ central verge, including removal of rubbish etc., disposal of unserviceable material to the dumping ground, for which payment shall be made separately and stacking of serviceable material within 50 metre lead as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. 24 Providing and laying cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size) in pavements, laid to required slope and camber in panels as required including consolidation finishing and tamping complete. 25 Laying old cement cocrete interlocking paver blocks of any design/ shape laid in required line, level, curvature, colour and pattern over and including 50 mm thick compacted bed of coarse sand, filling the joints with fine sand etc. all complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. 26 Providing and applying Polyurethane (PU) floor paint/coat over old paver block surfaces and alike - internal pathway/road of approved brand (Asian/Indigo/Dulux) as per manufacturer recommendation of required colour to give an even shade after racking up the joints, scrappers to remove all dirt’s, spots, loose pieces of scales, cleaning thoroughly, washing the surfaces and preparing the surface wherever required including supply of all materials, labours, tools etc. complete as directed by the engineer in charge 27 Providing and fixing 18 mm thick gang saw cut, mirror polished, premoulded and prepolished, machine cut black granite for kitchen platforms, vanity counters, window sills, facias and similar locations of required size, approved shade, black colour and texture laid over 20 mm thick base cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand), joints treated with white cement, mixed with matching pigment, epoxy touch ups, including rubbing, curing, moulding and polishing to edges to give high gloss finish etc. area of slab over 0.50 sqm, complete including supply of all labours, tools, materials, rubbing and polishing and finishing etc. complete as directed by the engineer in charge. 28 Providing and fixing 35mm thick ISI marked flush door shutters conforming to IS: 2202 (Part I) decorative type, core of block board construction with frame of 1st class hard wood and well matched teak 3 ply veneering with vertical grains or cross bands and face veneers on both faces of shutters and ISI marked Stainless Steel butt hinges with necessary screws including lipping with 2nd class teak wood battens 25 mm minimumdepth on all edges of flush door shutters (over all area of door shutter to be measured) and also providing vision panel not exceeding 0.1 sqm (rectangular or square) in all type of flush doors including supply of all labours, tools, materials, rubbing and polishing and finishing etc. complete as directed by the engineer in charge. 29 Taking out existing door, window shutter, repair by cutting, painting etc. and refixing of repaired window & door shutters to existing door & windows frames, including replacement of hinges with screws, etc. as required, all complete as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge. 30 Providing, Supplying and Installation of Polyethylene Water Storage Tank two Layered of(Sintex/ National/INFRA) ISI : 12701 marked, with cover and suitable locking arrangement on terrace (at all floor levels) with supporting the whole bottom area of the tank on durable, rigid and level platform, making inlet, outlet, overflow and scour connection, G.I nipples, uPVC Tank connector, nipples and cost of jointing material etc. complete as per specification and including cost of all materials, labours, tools & plats, loading, unloading, transportation etc. complete as directed by engineer in charge. 31 Providing and fixing Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) pipes (Astral/Prince/Finolex)having thermal stability for hot & cold water supply including all CPVC plain & brass threaded fittings i/c fixing the pipe with clamps at 1.00 m spacing.
