    Tender For Selection Of Agency For Carrying Out Geotechnical Investigation Works For Rewa Vutia Road And Bridge Alignment Project, Fiji. hydraulic feed rotary drill and double tube core barrel with diamond bit (Maximum of 5m below the rock bed or upto refusal which ever earlier) including collection of core samples, performing SPT at locations where core recovery is less than 20% maintaining continuous record of core recovery and RQD, keeping the cores in wooden core boxes, transporting to laboratory, back filling the holes with 1 part of cement:3 part of sand grout on completion of the same etc all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer –in-charge Undertake machine excavated tests pits to a depth of 2.0 m using mechanical excavator and adjacent Dynamic Cone Penetration (DCP) tests to a depth of 2m or prior refusal at an interval of every 500m of proposed road alignment of length 6.5km with two legs of lengths 0.60km and 1.0km; Logging of test pits by geotechnical engineer as per AS 1726; Collection of bulk/disturbed samples from test pits; Backfilling and compaction of test pits.
