Tender For Certain Repair And Maint Of Roads At Af Stn Chandigarh; 1 M&L for Scarifying or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surfacesarea exceeding 400 sqm and depthexceeding 50 mmbut not exceeding 100mm complete all as specified. 2 M&L for Screening road metal, Chippings, etc. on the site of the work, when specially ordered, including removing screened materials clear of screen and stacking in separate heaps for measuring (Materials from both sides of screen measured) 3 M&L for repair to pot holes, depth not exceeding 30mm and area not exceeding 1.0 Sqm each, including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces of road, cutting around edges to at least 30 mm in depth, making good by applying paving bitumen (VG-10) @ 5kg per ten sqm, putting in premixed well rammed and sealed with binder 6.8Kg/10 Sqm blinded with 0.06 Cum of stone chipping 6.3mm size and again well rammed/ rolled to uniform smooth surface, complete all as specified and directed. 4 M&L for water bound macadam (WBM) 100 mm thick compacted thickness with granite, trap or basaltcoarse aggregate of grading 1 (90 mm to 40 mm) size, spread, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified. 5 All as per description of serial item No- 4 here in before but except material i.e. stone metal complete all as specified.(Material retrieved vide item no. 1 here in before shall be re used ) 6 M&L for Preparing water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirtand applying evenly a priming/tack coat with paving bitumen (VG-10 grade) @10Kg/10Sqm with mechanical sprayer on black top surfaces complete all as specified. 7 Material and labour for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor to remove all loose dust & dirt etc. including draining off water if any from pot holes and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with paving bitumen (VG-10 grade) @5Kg/10Sqm with mechanical sprayer on black top surfaces, complete all as specified and directed. 8 Material and labour for premixed bituminous macadam using paving bitumen (VG-30 grade) @ 4% by weight of total mix using 12 to 25mm graded crushed preheated stone aggregate, laid, rolled and compacted with vibratory tandem roller to required gradient & camber, consolidated thickness 75mm or less, complete all as specified and directed. 9 Material and labour for premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete 30mm thick consolidated thickness, using combined graded aggregate i.e. crushed stone coarse aggregate, fine aggregate (sand) & filler (inherent filler/OPC 43 grade) of physical properties as specified (refer SSR Part-I of 2009), pre-heated, mixed with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix using VG-30 grade bitumen, laid with mechanical paver, rolled & compacted to a uniform smooth surface with vibratory tendum roller, complete all as specified and directed.Notes:-(i) Thickness of semi dense asphaltic concrete and quantities of materials as mentioned in particular specification/SSR are the minimum. The quoted rate shall also be deemed to include for provision of more materials in comparison to those mentioned/specified in the item, if required, to achieve the required level, gradient, camber and shape all as directed by the GE.(ii) Hot mix plant of adequate capacity shall be used for heating and mixing crushed stone coarse aggregate, fine aggregate and binder (bitumen). Semi dense asphaltic cooncrete shall be laid in single layer with self propelled mechanical paver all as directed by the GE.(iii) Contractors quoted rates shall be deemed to include all these aspects. 10 Material and labour for painting 2.5 mm thickthermoplast fluorescent paint of colour white or golden yellow or any other shade as approved by GE conforming to BS standard 3262 with 20% glass beads (inter mixed) applied hot with automatic (commercial) machine drive in stripes after preparation of surfaces as per manufacturers instructions & according to the specifications laid down by IRC & MOST (Ministry Of Surface Transport) Specifications 2001 (4th revision), making lines, broken lines/dashes, arrows etc. on roads and other like surfaces not exceeding 15 cm in width or girth complete all as specified and directed. 11 Supply and fixingABS speed breaker/Rubber Rumble heavy duty 75mm high , size 500 mm x 425 mm each in two colours (Black & Yellow), fixed alternately with reflectors on either sides with epoxy and bolts 6 mm dia, 75 mm long fasteners by drilling or as per manufacturers instructions fixed in repair complete all as specified and directed. Model - DA 1001 of Dark Eye or equivalent of makes as specified . 12 Demolition of cement concrete (un-reinforced) n exc 15cm thick as in ground floor/paving and removal of debris outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed. 13 Material and Labour for providing factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified and directed. 14 Material and labour for applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint on new concrete surfaces over 10cm girth or width in sky blue & white or yellow & black shade incl preparation of surfaces complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. 15 Material and labour for applying one coats of synthetic enamel paint on old concrete surfaces over 10cm girth or width in sky blue & white or yellow & black shade incl preparation of surfaces complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. 16 Supply and fixing solar cat eye aluminum alloy shell (100% water proof design) of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (shank 65mm) of high efficiency Mono crystaline solar panel 2.4V/0.3 watt one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/1600MA) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd fixed in repair complete all as specified and directed. Make-Dark Eye Model Kohinoor or equivalent model of makes as specified. 17 Supply and fixingmetal tubular dealineator made out of ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos 65mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on 45/50mm dia mild steel pipe of 600mm heightpowder coated and provision of thermo plastic elastommer 3 bands of green, red and yellow reflector radium tape of 25 mm wide stripes with anti theft steel net for reflector protection including embedding in PCC 1:2:4 (150x150x300mm) type B1 , finishing the coping ,fixed in repair complete all as specified and directed. 18 Surface dressingfor hard/ dense soil n exc 15cm deep complete all as specified and directed 19 M&L for forming embankments including raising (or lowering) earth spreading in layer n exc 30 cm thick each layer , watering, ramming to obtain optimum moisture conditions to the specified percentage of standard of standard proctor density not less than 95%and finishing to required sizes shape , etc n. exc 1.5 m high from base/GL including transpoting approved soil from out side defence land at your own arrangements and filling in traverse complete all as specified and directed.
