Work of online, preventive and breakdown maintenance for Boiler, its mountings and accessories for 500 MW Unit No. 6 at Ukai TPS. a) The representative of the contractor must report the EIC every morning for the permit of the guns to be cleaned/Repair. b) The contractor will maintain a record of the oil guns cleaned/Repair as well as the oil guns replaced. c) Ensure the isolation of the oil gun from both steam and oil side after receiving the yellow tag/PTW. d) Take out the gun from the burner block and place it on the gun cleaning stand. If required the gun is to be taken with the help of hook-chook. Remove the nozzle cover and gun tip. Clean all the parts with diesel/rustolene. Report and replace the damaged parts. Check the size of the gun tip hole. Replace the tip if size found enlarged. For this spanner of proper size to be used. Adjustable spanner or pipe wrench will not be allowed to dismantle the oil gun tip. If it will be found a penalty will be imposed for each case as per GSECL Rules & regulation. e) Purge the gun after connecting the steam line. f) During purging steam distribution through nozzles to be get checked by the GSECL EIC/Representative. g) Proper care should be taken not to damage any parts. h) Put back the oil gun in the burner block, connect the oil and steam line ensuring no leakages. i) All consumables like jute, diesel/ rustolene, Teflon tape, brush & All T&P such as spanners, asbestos hand gloves, clamps, lifting and pulling devices will have to be arranged by the contractor. j) If after cleaning oil gun is charged 1st time and found chocked, the same will be recleaned by the contractor free of cost. k) If oil guns are taken out for attending atomizing steam leakages and put back without cleaning, then only 50% will be payable. l) The spares like gun removable part, Spray plate, back plate, washer, hoses required for this work will be issued free of cost by GSECL.
