(Dia. to be measured at mid length). 8 Driving bamboo pins in standing or flowing water including scaffolding and driving appliances.(a) Where boats are not necessary. 9 Supplying, fitting and fixing with iron nails half split bamboo wailing pieces (av. dia. of bamboo not less than 5.0 cm.) 10 Supplying empty Cement bags in good condition. 11 Filling empty Cement Bags with dry earth or sand, stitching the bag (cost of thread included) and carrying and placing them in position and all incidental charges complete but excluding cost of filling materials, (Earth or sand) and gunny bags. 12 Earthwork from borrowpits for making embankments or for repairs to embankment within an initial lead of 30m. And initial lift of 1.50m including breaking clods and depositing the same in layers not exceeding 25 Cm layers and rough dressing etc. complete as per profile 13 Earthwork in excavation in all kinds of soil for making embankments, repairs to the embankment, closing breaches etc. as per profile including supply and transporting the earth by truck or tractor or any other mechanical means on land , including loading, transporting, unloading and stacking with all lifts bothways and head load where necessary and depositing the same on embankments, clannels, filling depressions in requisite profile, levelling as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge within a lead ofB) Beyond 1.00 Km. and upto 2.00 km 14 Providing and laying nominal mix Cement concrete (with mix proportion 1:1.5:3)/M-20 grade with coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS: 383, the size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 25 mm of Pakur or other approved variety including Screening and cleaning of aggregates, if necessary, both of approved quality and cement, as necessary, compacting by vibrator or other suitable means, cost of curing with water,cost for quality control, sampling, testing etc. and including placing a Separation membrane of impermeable PVC sheet 125 micron thick transparent or white in colour laid flat with minimum creases. Before placing the separation membrane, the sub-base shall be swept clean of all the extraneous materials. Wherever overlap of plastic sheets is necessary, the same shall be at least 300 mm and any damaged sheathing shall be replaced at the Contractors cost.
