Specifications of the VFD & Pannel (ABB/Seimens/Kirloskar Make)-ABB make VFD shall be of 12 pulse, 450 KW or its equivalent for mill, suitable for incoming supply of 415 V, 50 HZ, AC. Each inverter cubicle shall be fabricated for 14/16 SWG. CRCS sheets, free standing, aestivated & painted with anticorrosive paints. Overload duty shall be of class V with a protection of IP – 41.Each drive shall be complete with all the salient features including protection for its drive. The cubicle shall house all the switch gear & their protectors, controls, thyristor, regulating modules, interlocking relays & filters etc. All necessary meter indicators, enunciators, controls etc. shall be neatly arranged on cubicle front doors with neoprene gaskets on all edges of the panel. Ventilation openings shall be provided at the top of the panel & on side covers by louvers suitably covered by wire mesh. Drive shall have provision for bi-direction speed regulation & will be +/ - 1% of the base speed by tacho-feedback. The panel will have the facility to accept 4 - 20 mA signal for speed setting in local auto mode & to have control from DCS. Each of the drives shall be provided Ammeter, Voltmeter with selector switch, speed indicators, KWH meters etc. The pressure ventilation system with electric motor drive blower with filter shall be provided for panels. One common control desk with all the controls shall be provided for each motor to be controlled common desk.Note- Motor and VFD shall be preferred of same Manufacturer.

Planetary Gear (Elecon/WIL/Premium/Triveni make) and rope less couplings (JPMA/Eurogear make)– Quantity: 01 No.Mill shall be driven through separate foot mounted planetary type gear box, suitable for 450 KW continuously under shock load conditions at base speed of motor. The mill roller final speed of around 4.5 rpm, when motor is run at its base speed 1000 RPM. The gear boxes shall have hardened and ground internals and shall have minimum service factor 2.5 with forced lubrication system complete with 2 coolers, reservoir, 2 Nos. Pumps duplex filters and valves etc. Provision should be made for auto start of spare pump and alarm system. mill shall be provided with rope less couplings of the fallowing designed parameters. Prime mover rating : 450 KW, 1000 rpm AC motor. Driving equipment : Foot mounted Planetary Gear box. Driven Equipment : Mill top roller Shaft. Square end size of the roller : To suit roller square end. Multi misalignment rope type coupling with specially designed polyester rope for connecting the driving and driven halves through the compression plate shall be provided. It is recommended to review the existing mill setting and it is to be revised to suit proposed 2750 TCD (22 hrs.) with optimum milling efficiency and minimum losses.
