Collection and carriage of machine crushed bajri 11.2mm nominal size from any approved crusher zone passing 100% through 13.2mm. sieve and retained on 5.6mm sieve free from dirt, clay leaves, alongated or flaky pieces soft or disintegrated stone salt, alkali, vegetable matter dust and adherent coatings. The grit shall be posses’ slow porosity and good hydrophilic characteristics that it shall have greater affinity of bitumen and shall retain a film of bitumen even in the presence of water. The absorption shall not ordinary exceed one percent. The bajri shall be supplied and stacked in store in stacks in 5m x 2m x 1m stacks and fully conforming to specifications for road and bridge works issued by the Ministry of surface transport (Road wing) 5% deduction in volume computed by stacks measurements shall be made to arrive at the volume to be paid for.
