Tender For Provn Of Capital Work At Af Stn Chandigarh Under Ge (Af) Chandigrah.; 1 Note :The unit rate quoted by the tenderer under Col No (13) of Sch `A’ (BOQ) unless specifically mentioned otherwise such as labour only/fixing only,for all items of works shall be deemed to be including cost of all materials, labour, tools and plants, testing and commissioning of work in position complete as required for entire completion of work. 2 Surface excavation n.exc (not exceeding) 30 cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out in soft/loosec soil including removing excavated soil to a distance exceeding 250 metre but not exceeding 500 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.50 meter above the starting point,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 3 Excavating in trenchesin Hard/dense soil , not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out,complete all as specified and directed by Engrineer-in-Charge. 4 Excavating in trenchesin Hard/dense soil , not exceeding 1.5 m wide and exceeding 1.5 m butnot exceeding 3.00 mdepth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out,complete all as specified and directed by Engrineer-in-Charge. 5 Excavating over areas, not exceeding1.5 m deep and getting outin soft/loosec soil,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 6 Excavating over areas, exceeding 1.5 m butnot exceeding 3.00 m deep and getting outin soft/loosec soil,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 7 Returning, filling in, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick each, excavated soil in trenches after the cables have been laid and tested, complete all as specified anddirected by Engineer-in-Charge. 8 Removing excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50 metreand depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.50 meter above the starting point , complete all as specified anddirected by Engineer-in-Charge. 9 Treating the bottom and sides of excavation at the rate of 5 litres of emulsion per square metre of surface area, complete all as specified anddirected by Engineer-in-Charge. 10 Treating the backfill in contact with foundation at the rate of 7.5 litres of emulsion per square metre of vertical surface (Area of the substructure in contact with backfill to be measured), complete all as specified anddirected by Engineer-in-Charge. 11 Treating the top surface of filled earth at the rate of 5 litres of emulsion per square metre of surface, complete all as specified anddirected by Engineer-in-Charge. 12 Treating the soil under plinth protection at the rate of5 litres of emulsion per square metre of surface area, complete all as specified anddirected by Engineer-in-Charge. 13 Hardcore of gauge exceeding 63 mm but not exceeding 100 mm of broken stone or boulders , deposited, spread and levelled in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 14 Plain cement concrete(1:4:8), type D-2, using 40 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates and finished the surface rough to provide adequate bond for the topping as in sub base ,foundations, filling and mass concrete,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 15 Plain cement concrete ,100 mm thick (1:4:8) type D-2,using 40 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregatesd topping as in sub base ,foundations, filling and mass concrete,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 16 Plain cement concrete 75 mm thick, 1:3:6, type C-2, using 40 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates, laid in 1:20 slope as in plinth protection including making joints at 3.00 metre intervals and at each corner, the joint shall be filled with mastic filling (to full depth) comprising of one part heated hot blown bitumen 85/ 25 & two parts heated sand (by volume), surface finished even and fair ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note :- The concrete shall be laid at a stretch not exceeding 3 metre in length and width of joint shall not be more than 12mm.Quoted rates are inclusive ofuse and waste of formwork and to devide the area in panels. 17 Plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-0 using 12.5 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates 40 mm thick as in Damp proof course to horizontal or vertical surfcaces including necessary form work in and including water proofing compound as per manufacturers instruction @3% of cement weight,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Quoted Rate of above item is inclusive the cost ofWPC and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account. 18 Plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates as in mud stop ,sides of intetlocking paver block and the like including rounded or chamfered on edgesincluding necessary form work and finished the surfaces even and smooth(without using extra cement) ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 19 Brick work with sub-class `B bricks Fly ash bricks (bricks shall be burnt clay fly ash building bricks as per IS- 13757), straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 M mean radius built in cement sand mortar 1:6 complete , complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 20 Brick work with sub-class `B bricks, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 metre mean radius built in cement sand mortar 1:6 ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 21 Brick work with sub-class `B bricks, straight or curved on plan in any radius in half brick thick wall built in cement sand mortar 1:4 ,complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer -in-Charge. 22 Use & waste of form work to sides of concrete foundations, footings, bases of columns, raft and raft beams,sides and soffits (if any) of foundation and plinth beams;and similar work; vertical or to batte etc of rough finished flat surfaces, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge. 23 Use & waste of form work to sidesof pillars,posts, struts, piers,columns and stanchions etc; withrough finished flat surfaces of concrete, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge. 24 Use & waste of form work to sides and soffits of floor or roof beams, beam haunchings, girders, bressummers, lintels, cantilevers, shelves, including sub-ports, overhangs, etc. also splays between floors and beams, etc.; with rough finished surfaces of concrete, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge. 25 Use & waste of form work to chullah hoods,chajjas, troughs and similar items including edges,with rough finished surfaces of concrete, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge. 26 Use & waste of form work to soffits of suspended slab of concrete such as roof slabs, floor slabs, cover slab, shelve, landings and similar works n.exc 200 mm thick (horizontal or sloping); with rough finished surfaces of concrete, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge. 27 Use & waste of form work to edges of concrete flats, treads, breaks in floors, window cills, concrete railings, opening in concrete walls, floors and roofs n.exc. 20cm wide and sides of RCC/PCC bands in walls, horizontal or sloping and similar work exc. 10cm but n.exc. 20cm wide, with rough finished surfaces of concrete, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge. 28 Mild steel TMT bars 10mm dia and over as in reinforcement cut to length , bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping ends for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire annealed not less than 0.90mm dia, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge. 29 Mild steel TMT bars 6 to 8mm dia as in reinforcement cut to length , bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping ends for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire annealed not less than 0.90mm dia, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge. 30 Mild steel TMT bars 5mm dia and over and upto and including 10mm dia as in stirrups, spacers and binders cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns , hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire ( annealed) not less than 0.90mm dia. Or securing with clips , complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge. 31 Reinforced Cement concrete M-25 ( Design mix) type B1using 20mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregatesas in foundations, including rafts, footings, foundation beams; plinth beams; bases for columns, etc; basement slabs, under reamed piles and mass concrete, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note: Steel reinforcement shall be measured and paid for separetely. 32 Reinforced Cement concreteM-25 ( Design mix)type B1using 20mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregatesas in Columns, pillars, piers,posts and struts, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note: Steel reinforcement shall be measured and paid for separetely. 33 Reinforced Cement concrete M-25 ( Design mix) type B1using 20mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregatesas inChajjas, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note: Steel reinforcement shall be measured and paid for separetely. 34 Reinforced Cement concrete M-25 ( Design mix) type B1using 20mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregatesas in Beams, cantilevers, bressummers, lintels over 1.5m span, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note: Steel reinforcement shall be measured and paid for separetely. 35 Reinforced Cement concreteM-25 ( Design mix)type B1using 20mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregatesas in slabs supported on walls, beams and columns in floors, roofs, landings, balconies, canopies, deck slabs and in shelves and the likes, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note: Steel reinforcement shall be measured and paid for separetely. 36 First qualityglazed designer pattern ceramic colouredtiles of450x300x7mm thick fixed in pattern to wall ( combination of dark and light colour with boarder)laid on vertical surfaces such as skirting, dados and risers to steps etc laid over and including10mm thick cement plaster in CM (1:4) set and jointed in neat cement paste ofhoney like consistancy and pointed in white or coloured cement with pigment to match the shadeof tiles, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge.Note :- Design, pattern and colour of tiles will be as approved by GE. 37 First quality, Non skid ceramiccoloured tiles, 7 to 8 mm thick, Joint Free (square/ rectangular) area of each tile exc. 0.11 Sq.m but n.exc. 0.18 Sq.m, laid in floors with neat cement slurry @ 3.00 kg/Sq.mtr. over and including 15mm thick screed bed of cement mortar (1:6) including pointing in white or coloured cement to match the shade of tiles, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge.Note :- Design, pattern and colour of tiles will be as approved by GE. 38 Vitrified ceramic tiles (light Shade) 9 -10 mm thick (square/ractangular) coloured polished tiles,area of each tile not exceeding 0.36 sqmin floors etc. laid in floors with neat cement slurry @ 3.00 kg/Square Metre over and including 15 mm thick screed bed of cement mortar (1:6) including pointing in white or coloured cement to match the shade of tiles,complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer -in-Charge.Note :- Design, pattern and colour of tiles will be as approved by GE. 39 Vitrified ceramic tiles (light Shade) 9-10mm thick (square/ractangular) coloured polished tiles,area of each tile not exceeding 0.36 sqm as in skirting, dados and risers to steps etc laid over and including10mm thick cement plaster in CM (1:4) set and jointed in neat cement paste ofhoney like consistancy and pointed in white or coloured cement to match the shadeof tiles , complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer in Charge.Notes :- (i) Design, pattern and colour of tiles will be as approved by GE. (ii) Tile work to be executed in any position or in any patches or as per site requirement. 40 Granite of black/brown in colour (of any type) tiles 16-18 mm thick, thick machine cut, bedded and jointed with grey cement slurry and pointed with white cement with admixture of pigment to match the shade of granite stone as in flooring including grinding ,moulding and polishing andlaid over 15mm thick screed bed in CM 1:6 ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge. Note : The rates include for all straight cutting and waste. 41 Granite of black/brown in colour (of any type) tiles 16-18 mm thick, tiles machine cut, in skirting/ dado laid over cement screed and jointed with grey cement slurry, and pointed with white cement with admixture of pigment to match the shade of granite stone including grinding and polishing complete andlaid over 10mm thick screed bed in CM 1:4,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge. Note : The rates include for all straight cutting and waste. 42 Rounding to edges of stone slabs one edge, such as in steps,cooking platform, and other similar situations,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- Charge. 43 Providing and laying 80mm thick factory made machine pressed interlocking paver blockof M-40 grade ofany shape and size confirming to IS 15658-2006 with grey cement and pigment (In top layer) laidover and including 25 mm thick compacted bed of fine sand, compacting and proper embedding/ laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layerfilling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra,complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer -in-Charge.Note : Quoted rates are inclusive of fine sand and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account. 44 Rendering 15 mm thick plaster on fair faces of brick work or concrete external surfaces in cement mortar (1:4) , finished even and smooth without using extra cement,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 45 Rendering 15 mm thick plaster on fair faces of brick work or concrete internal surfaces in cement mortar (1:6) finished even and smooth without using extra cement,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 46 Rendering 5 mm thick plaster in cement mortar (1:3), as on concrete surfaces as in ceiling finished the surfcae even and smooth without using extra cement, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 47 Rendering 15 mm thick plaster other than fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces in cement mortar (1:4) ,finished even and smooth without using extra cement,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 48 Rendering 15 mm thick on brick masonary surfaces of fair faces in cement mortar 1:4 finishedthe surfaceseven and smooth without using extra cement and mixing with water proofing compound as per manufacturers instruction @3% of cement weight,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note: Quoted Rate of above item is inclusive the cost ofWPC and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account. 49 Preparation of newplastered or unplastered surfaces of ceiling and applying three coats of white washing ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 50 Preparation of newplastered or unplastered surfaces of walls and applying two coats of oil bound distemperover 1mm thick Walll care putty and smoothing the surface by using sand paper, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 51 Preparation of newly plastered surfaces ofbrick wall/ stone/ plastered/concrete/Kerb stone /Ceiling etc and applying two or more coats of 100% Premium acrylic emulsion paint having VOC less than 50 gm/ litre and UV resistance as per IS 15489: 2004, alkali & fungal resistant, dirt resistant exterior paint of required shade with silicon additives @ 1.43 litre/ 10 sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 0.90 litre/ 10 sqm over new surfaces in camouflage pattern ,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: (i) Number of coats and pattern of camouflage shall be approved by GE. .(ii) Weather proof exterior emulsion paint shall be of same manufacturer.(iii) The rate quoted by contractor is deemed to be included necessary scaffolding for building upto 12.00m high(iv) All safety measures for the safety of workers shall be ensured by contractor before execution of work. Insurance of workers shall be got done by contractor before execution of the work and the cost for the same shall be deemed to be included in rate quoted by contractor. 52 Aluminium powder coating (miniumum thickness of powder coating is 50 micron) frame for doors, windows,ventilatorswith one or more rebates including joining cleat and rubber beading/ liningfor fixing etc., complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in- Charge. 53 Aluminium powder coating (miniumum thickness of powder coating is 50 micron)work for shutters of doors, windows, ventilators, and partitions (Fixed portions) including providing and fixing hinges/pivots and making provosion for fixing of fittings where ever requiredincluding the cost of EPDM rubber/neoprene gasket required (fittings shall be fixed and paid separetly ) with extruded built up standard tubular sections/ appropriate Z sections and other sections of approved make conforming to IS: 733 and IS: 1285, fixing with dash fasteners of required dia and size, including necessary filling up the gaps at junctions, i.e. at top,bottom and sides with equired EPDM rubber/ neoprene gasket etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust Engineer -in-charge. 55 Factory made solid PVC door frame of size 50mmx47mm made out of 5mm plain colour PVC sheet reinforced with MS square tube, supplied and fitted as per specification & drawing Note: Excavation, earth work, sand cushioning, protection bricks/ tiles/ block andpipe shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate items. 149 Sand cushioning to under ground cable with clean dry river sand in layer of sand8cm thick before laying of cable and 15 cm after laying ofcable, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note- For payment purpose punned thickness of 18 cm shall be measured against spread thickness of 23 cm as mentioned in para 19.75 of SSR Part-I. 150 Protection of cable with one layer of bricks laid flat butting to each other in such a way that the length of the bricks is at right angle to the central axis of the cable using old size sub-class ‘B’ bricks, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 151 Steel water tubing, 80 mm bore light grade ISI marked galvanized with all fittings laid in trenches / road crossing/ fixed to pole /walls/path/drain /floor etc,compllete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. 152 Boring under roads, hardstanding etc using mechanical means without causing any damage to the road/ Hard standing for passing of 80 mm dia GI pipe,complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in- Charge. 153 Air termination, single pointed aluminium rod 12mm dia and 300mm long fitted with rivets/ nuts & bolts, complete all as specified and directed. 154 Aluminium strip 25mm x 3mm with saddles/ epoxy or porcelain insulators and fixing screws for roof conductor and down conductor above ground , complete all as specified and directed. 155 Test point terminal block of gun metal or phosphorus bronze of size 75mm x 75mm x 25mm drilled and screwed including 3 No. 8mm dia 25mm long hexagonal head screws complete all as specified and directed. 156 Earthing complete with GI earth plate electrode of size 600mm x 600mm x 6mm thick burried directly in ground vertically (depth of pit not less than 2.25 m below normal ground level), with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level, earth plate surrounded from all sides by 15cm thick packed alternate layers of charcoal dust and common salt, electrode connections using galvanized iron strip of size 32mmx6mm thick (upto body of equipment) by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts & GI washers, connected to main switch board or main control board or test point, protected by galvanized iron pipe light grade 40mm dia bore, and watering pipe 20 mm bore GI light grade pipe with funnel & wire mesh,including all necessary excavation & earth work,PCC chamber in PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 & RCC cover, all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of MES Schedule Part-I (2009), testing on completion, ,complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge.Note(s) :-(i) RCC pit cover shall be pre-cast of RCC (1:2:4) type B-1, 80mm thick reinforced with XPM not less than 4Kg/Sqm.(ii)PCC chamber shall be constructed 500 mm away from the edge of earth pit.(iii) Rate shall include GI strip and protection pipe of length 7.5m, GI pipe beyond 7.5m length required at site shall be measured and paid separately.(iv)Earth resistance should be less than 5 Ohm. In case the test results are not found below 5 Ohm, complete earthing will be redone without any extra cost to Govt.
