As the water becomes clear, surging or backwashing is done to make the development more perfect. The final discharge should be free from sand. The physical chemical analysis of water sample tested has to be as per the specified IS codes. After completion of development the well is tested for its performance that is yield characteristics and efficiency. The water has to be disinfected after completion of test for yield to ensure that the quality of water and as laid down as per specified IS standards.
