Overhauling and repairing work of following 220 KV SF-6 Circuit Breaker in different 220 KV BAYS at 220 KV S/S Atrauli under ETD-II, Aligarh.(i) 220 KV SF-6 Gas Circuit breaker Alstom make of 160 MVA-I HV side 220/132 KV Transformer Bay (Mfg. Year - 2004)(ii) 220 KV SF-6 Gas Circuit breaker Alstom make of Bus Cupler Bay (Mfg. Year - 2004)(iii) 220 KV SF-6 Gas Circuit breaker Alstom Make of 220 KV Aligarh-I Bay (Mfg Year - 2003) (iv) 220 KV SF-6 Gas Circuit breaker Alstom Make of 220 KV Aligarh-II Bay (Mfg Year - 2004)

By doing following works in circuit breaker :-(i) Cleaning of porcelain of drive insulator from outside of each pole(ii) Checking & adjustement of snatch gap, travel of drive insulator rod & tie rod of each pole. (iii) Opeing of opening & closing coil assembly, D-rusting & greasing of all these parts, checking of charging ratchet. Replacement of all O-ring of Gas pipe assemby of mechanism, checking of motor limit switch, auxiliary contactors, power contaclors.(iv) Oiling & greasing of crank gears by opening of lock circlip etc.(v) Retightening of all these connections, satisfactory operation from local as well remote.(vi) Checking operation of circuit breaker from remote and local.(vii)Checking electrical connection in the marshalling box and tightening all electrical connections and replacing compressor belt with proper size.(viii) Checking the thermostate it setting and replaceing the defective one.(ix) Checking the Marshling box of CB from point of view of verming proofing and make it verming proof.(x) Replacement of damaged door gasket of Marshiling box if needed. After major overhauling and repairing work of above SF-6 gas circuit breaker, following test are to be carried out :-(i) Opening & closing time of breaker of each pole.(ii) Carring out contact resistance measurement (CRM test) of each pole.(iii) Checking of megger values of breaker poles.(iv) Checking tripping of breaker at 70% DC voltage.(v) Checking the close/open operation of breaker from REMOTE & LOCAL and checking the protection tripping.(vi) Prepare and submit the site overhaulling report of each breaker.
