| 1 | Material and labour for Repair to potholes not exceeding 1 sqm and depth exceeding 30mm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat @ 5 kg per 10 sqm of paving bitumen (VG-10), putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sqm of paving bitumen (VG-30), blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed and consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed.Note :- (i) Loose material and standing water shall be brushed from the are to be repaired.(ii) Potholes shall be cut to vertical sides and deepened to match sound material.(iii) Fill the patch with the granular mix in layers of about 75mm at a time. Each layer shall be compacted with hand rammers or with small vibratory compactors. The patch shall be compacted to the correct shape.(iv) Potholes shall be marked and checked by Engineer-in-charge 100% quantity before commencement of work and shall also be entered in MB with reference to permanent objects before starting carpeting work. |
| 2 | Dismantling of existing damaged bitumen surface upto any depth as per requirement in single pass with suitable cold milling machine fitted with loading convey or for loading the milled material directly on the trucks and hauling the milled material upto any lead and stacking at recycling plant site (70% of theoretical material will be assume to the retrieved) complete all as specified and as directed. |
| 3 | Material & labour for Preparing of existing black top surfaces and BM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms & finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air pressure to remove allloose dirt etc.& applying evenly a tack coat of bitumen emulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS 8887@ 2 to 3 kg/10 sqm on DBM /bituminous surfaces as specified in table 500-5 of MORTH specifications for road and bridge work 2013, using mechanical sprayer, with bituminous primer VG-10 @ 0.3kg to 0.4kg per Sqm using mechanical sprayer, complete all as specified and as directed. |
| 4 | Material & labour for laying Premix bituminous concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen binder of grade VG-30, content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2 with mixing of aggregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type Hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrostatic paver finisher, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per clause 507 MORTH (5th revision) specification and as directed.Note :- (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content, Job mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORTH ( 5th revision) for BC shall be worked out from any Govt Lab/Govt Engg college/CTL for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the contractor and same shall be submit for approval of Accepting Officer through GE before execution. The cost thereof shall be deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ Rs 50/kg of binder and NO adjustment shall be made on plus side.(ii) Cost of filler i.e. cement (OPC) is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate.(iii) After spreading of mix as as per clause 507.4.7 MORTH (5th revision) entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight , followed by finished rolling 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per clause No 507.4.8 MORTH (5th revision) and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted rates.(iii) The contractor shall intimate the planned date of incorporation of mix in advance to GE. Premix will be approved in writing by Rep of Accepting Officer at plant site before incorpoation of the same in the work. |
| 5 | Material & labour for providing and laying Premix DENSE bituminous macadam of average compacted thickness 50mm, using paving bitumen binder of grade VG-30 @ and binder content of 4.5% by weight of total mix with mixing of aggregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type Hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrostatic paver finisher, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per clause 504 MORTH (5th revision) specification and as directed.Note :- (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 4.5% VG-30 bitumen content, Job mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORTH ( 5th revision) for DBM shall be worked out from any Govt Lab/Govt Engg college/CTL for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the contractor and same shall be submit for approval of Accepting Officer through GE before execution. The cost thereof shall be deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ 50/kg of binder and NO adjustment shall be made on plus side.(ii) The DBM shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within a maximum of 48 hours. If there is to be any delay by the contractor, course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of clause 512 of MORTH (5th revision) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately.(iii) The contractor shall intimate the planned date of incorporation of mix in advance to GE. Premix will be approved in writing by Rep of Accepting Officer at plant site before incorpoation of the same in the work.(iv) Paver shall not be compulsory in case of patch work using DBM. |

| 10 | Material and labour for preparation of new concrete surface / kerb stone surfaces of any description not otherwise described over 10cm width or girth, by cleaning the dust and removing all loose particle with using clean cloths, brooms and dry paint brush etc and after preparing the surfaces applying two coats of water based road marking paint(1st quality) of approved tint/colour (one colour or alternative colour as directed) complete as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
