SPL REPAIR TO CVY GROUND AND ROADS IN AOR OF AGE B/R-I & AGE B/R-III UNDER GE 864 EWS(JOB NO: (i) W/SR (ROAD)-07/BB CANTT/2024-25, (ii) W/SR (ROAD)-10/BB CANTT/2024-25, (iii) W/SR (ROAD)-09/BB CANTT/2024-25 & (iv) W/SR (ROAD)-08/BB CANTT/2024-25); 1 Scarifying or picking up gravelled macadam surfaces in area n exc400 sqm exc 50mm but n.exc 100mm deep including removing materials from site of work or stacking for re-use at site complete all as specified and directed. 2 Screening road metals chippings etc on the site of work where specially ordered including removing screened materials clear of screen of stacking separate heaps for measuring, all as specified. 3 M&L for 7.5 cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregate Granite, trap or Basalt of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and as directed. 4 -Ditto- all as per item No 3 above here-in-before but except materials. 5 Preparing surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc un-surfaced water bound macadams complete all as specified. 6 M & L applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer (using paving bitumen) at 10 kg per 10 sqm, complete all as specified and as directed 7 Preparing surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc for black top surface, all as specified. 8 M&L applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 3 Kg per 10 sqm with paving bitumen for bituminous surfaces, all as specified. 9 M&L applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 5 kg per 10 sqm with paving bitumen for bituminous surfaces, all as specified. 10 M&L premix bituminous, macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) using paving bitumen Vg-30 @ 4% (minimum) by the weight of total mix laid with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and as directed. 11 M&L for Bituminous premix asphaltic dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.50% binder content of paving bitumen Gde -VG-30 by weight of total mix rolled and compacted, mixed in mechanical hot mixed plant and pre-mixed material laid with mechanical paver, finished including rolling to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne roller to required complete all as specified and as directed. Note for serial item No 10 and 11:- (i)Preparation of mixin hotmix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible and has to maintain the required temperature of mix under all conditions tjill it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these itrems shall include for carrying out the works with depolyment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable.(ii) Central computerised Hot mix plant of adequate capacity shall be used for heating and mixing of constituents for preparation of bituminous macadam and the same shall be laid with mechanical sensor paver all as specifiedand directed (iii) Over newly provided bituminous macadam surfaces, further bituminous work, if ordered, shall be provided simultaneously after provision of bituminous macadamı & πο separate payment for provision of tack coat for bonding between the bituminous macadam & further bituminous work necessiated due to the time period gap or otherwise shall be made for separately (iv) The design mix shall be carried out from the Zonal lab/ Govt approved lab/Govt Engr College as approved by GE and design mix shall be got approved by GE before (v) The cost of all the above aspects shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of above item 12 M&L for 2.5mm thick painting to road surfaces as in line, dashes, arrows, letters zebra crossing etc on road, pavements and like with thermoplastic road marking paint @ 5Kg/Sqm and applying glass beads @ 300gms/Sqm over painted surfaces white the painted surfaces are hot by mechanical means including cleaning surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. 13 Scarification of existing bituminous surface upto 100 mm thickness to remove irregularities, bumps or ruts, without causing any undue disturbance to the underlying sub base course by using suitable mechanical excavation means as approved by Engineer-in-charge and cleaning & preparation complete all as specified and directed 14 Material and labour for 15 cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM in two layers of 7.5 cm each, with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size), spread, rolled with 8-12 tonne capacity roller and consolidated te gradient and camber required all as specified and directed 15 M&L for Cement concrete work in pavement/ hard-standing of flexural strength 40 kg/per square centimetre in field using 400 kg of cement per cubic metre, thickness of concrete 25 cm or less complete all as specified. 16 Finishing surface of concrete roads, pavements by brooming complete all as specified 17 M&L forming 20 mm thick (and depth of slab 200 mm) expansion joints filled with pre-formed bituminous filler and top 30mm primed and sealed with sealing compound, Grade A, all as specified. 18 M&L forming contraction (Dummy) joints 65mm deep x 10mm wide, filled with sealing compound Grade A, all as specified. 19 M&L for Moorum filling in floors or pavings, laid in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, spread, levelled and rammed including watering complete all as specified and directed. 20 Material and labour for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop R lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed. 21 Excavating in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth, for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in any type of soil complete all as specified and directed 22 M&L for plain cement concrete 1:3:6 type C2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) in foundations, filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and directed. 23 M&L for Brick work with sub class B brick exc 6 m mean radius built in CM 1:6 complete all as specified and directed 24 M&L for plain cement concrete 1:2.4 type B1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) as in lintels upto 1 5m clear span, cills, coping steps; seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, kerbs, water troughs and the like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating including necessary form work, all as specified. 25 M&L rendering plaster 10mm thick cement plaster on fair faces of brick or concrete surface in CM (1.4) finished fair & even, complete all as specified & directed. 26 M&L for cement concrete1:2:4 type B1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) as in surface channels and drains complete all as specified and directed. 27 Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm complete all as specified and directed 28 Removing excavated material n exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed 29 M&L for reinforced concrete pipes 300 mm dia, class NP2, laid and jointed complete with collars complete all as specified and directed. 30 M&L for concrete bed in cement concrete(1:3:6) type C-2 (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) to drain pipes 300 mm dia including packing, under and completely surrounding pipes with concrete after they are laid and tested complete all as specified and directed. 31 Surface excavation n. exc (not exceeding) 30 cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out in any type of soil (for improving the ground profile for effective drainage) complete all as specified and directed 32 Roughening surfaces of old concrete floor by picking, sweeping clean and washing down with water to remove dust, etc.
