The incomer PVC armoured cable (upto 4 X 50 sqmm) outgoing flexible copper cables of 4 sqmm, earth cables of size 2.5 sq mm for power circuit through 40 A DP to each quarters and out going for staircaseshall be glanded /terminated and connected using suitable cable lugs /clamps /ties. All Required structural items, DB with DP/MCBs, flexible glands, suitable pvc pipes etc, shall be in the scope of the contractor. Existing in-put armoured cable can be used for main supply from Piller Box. If incomer cable length is not adequate for termination in DB, cable should be jointed with copper/aluminum flexible cable of size similer to incomer cableby proper lug/ferrules by providing suitable joint box near DB. Clamping, connection and commissioning of maintenance free copper bonded earthling systems of DB at suitable locations.Installation of earthing system as per the specified condition mentioned above and supply of All required materials for this work such as maintenancefree copper bonded earthing system approved by Kerala State Electrical Inspectorate, compressing of 3 m long, dia not less than 17 mm earth electrode of low carbon steel with 250 micron copper bonding on outer surface with associated items like environment friendly carbon based back fill compound, hardware, clamps, binding wires, connection lugs, anticorrosive paint, bituman, Sand, cement, Bricks and required length of 1 x 16 sqmmflexible Al PVC cable etc as required for this work shall be in the scope of the contractor.(Double earth should be provided for 3 phase DB, Earth pit should be interlinked) 18 Rerouting of Power Cables up to 4x50 Sqmmfrom Existing 3 phase DB to New DB Location as specified by FACT Engineer -in -Charge 19 Excavation of New cable trenches of size 300 mm X 300 mm (Width X Depth) in ordinary soils for laying cables. The scope of work also includes refilling and consolidating the trench after completion of the cable laying work.
