Proposal for replacement of existing cooled type skids with non-cooled design. Info - There are 2 nos. of reheating furnaces at HSM1 supplied by M/s FIVE STEIN. The reheating furnace is a top and bottom fired walking beam furnace for slab reheating. In RHF there are TWO types of skid (moveable and fixed) used to transfer slab from charging side to discharge side. Fixed skid just at the entry of RHF is called RIDER SKID and used to transfer slab from charging table to furnace. PROBLEM STATEMENT - Frequent problem of water leakages in rider skid and post.Rider skid foundation support grouting damaged frequently. (Item: 55) in attached drg.010-65-018. IMPACT-Temp drop problem in bar Leakage water causes corrosion in RHF basement walking beam structure Increase in break down. B. Redesign the slab extractor arm to have increased operating life. Info - In RHF there are total SIX slab extractor arm to transfer slab from furnace to discharge roller table. PROBLEM STATEMENT - Frequent crack generation in arm and even arm cracked in two pieces. IMPACT- Increase in breakdown Chances of major equipment damage. VENDOR SCOPE1.Study of existing water-cooled rider skids design at reheating furnace HSM#1 Hazira along with exploring the feasibility for fitment of the recommended non-cooled rider skid design of reheating furnace at AM Florange. 2. Preparation of detail fabrication drawings of rider skids and supporting structure modification. 3. Preparation of strengthening drawing for fixed civil supports according to the non-cooled skid design. 4. Finite element analysis (FEA) for the slab extractor arm to identify the cause of failure. 5. Detail fabrication drawing of extractor arm with modification based on the FEM study. 6. Study of the finger bolt elongation issue of slab extractor arm. 7. Study report of existing rider skid design for feasibility of replacement with non-cooled rider skids design. 8. Preparation of the fabrication drawings of non-cooled rider skids and mounting frame. 9. Preparation of civil support modification / strengthening drawing. 10. 3D model and FEA of the existing slab extractor Arm. 11. Fabrication drawings of extractor Arm with suitable strengthening. 12. MSA to be followed strictly, after checking of all data SCRUM approval will release. *If New associates (competency as per MSA) to be introduced, need to inform in advance & Site in charge must ensure that their All Associates are aware of Hazards exists in HSM. *Ensure All Associates are Fit as per AMNS Guideline. *Any job must not to be started without information/intimation of AMNS Engineer Job to be start after proper TBT & WPS. *Contactor & their site in charge must monitor IN OUT time discipline of them manpower & Any person Must not continue Duty for more than 16 hours in HAZIRA. *complex & person must take weekly off (Maximum)on 9th day. *Execution Form 10 is required for Tools are to be used in case of Job work. *Don’t move to other/unknown area of HSM unnecessarily. *Original ADHAR CARD required for Gate pass process. *In case of not following any AMNS guideline, penalty will be applicable base on Consequence management policy of AMNS. *Safety 1. Violation of CHSE Policy will be dealt as per AMNS Consequence management policy and it will attract penalty accordingly. 2. Contractor must ensure safe transport of their operator and maintenance team inside plant premises. No Pedestrian/Cycles/Two Wheelers movement will be allowed inside the Plant Premises. Road safety rules must be followed for safe movement inside plant premises. 3. Contract Owners must attend Contract Owner’s Meeting without fail as and when advised by AM/NS India. 4. Contracted Equipment should have all standard OEM safety devices and must adhere to AM/NS India Safety Device Matrix, provided along with this tender / work order. 5. Contractor shall provide the equipment and operator as per land of law (e.g., RTO Laws & Fitness) and company policies (e.g., Safety Certification & Competency Training). 6. Contractor should provide required number of relievers for safe operation. No operators will be permitted to work beyond 12 hrs and should be given weekly off regularly. 7. Penalty will be applicable for violating safety/statutory norms, mobile policy/vehicle driving policy as per AMNS consequence management policy. 8. Operator and maintenance crew will mandatorily use all necessary PPE s as per site conditions. All PPEs shall be in the scope of Vendor. 9. Contracted Equipment should have all OEM standard safety devices and as required by AM/NS India, as per table below. 10. Associate must undergo Medical Fitness at our Care Nursing Home, AM/NS Township, Hazira. This would be done as per AM/NS India standards and the cost shall be borne by the vendor. AMNS has its own Secures Access system called SCRUM at Hazira Site which is use for processing the Gate Pass.
