The PMS manages two Diesel Generators (250 kW each) and two Shaft Generators (1800 kW each), ensuring seamless load transfer and load sharing. The new system must maintain the functionality of the existing setup while enhancing reliability and safety.; 1. Removal of Existing Siemens PMS Unit: Disconnect and un-install the existing Siemens PMS units. Ensure no disruption to power supply and system integrity during the removal process. 2. Installation and Configuration of the New PMS: Install a new marine-approved PMS, Integrate the new PMS into the DP operation. Ensure seamless communication with generators, breakers, and monitoring systems. 3. Load Transfer, Load Sharing, and Safety: Ensure proper synchronization and breaker control. Maintain safety interlocks to prevent overloads and system failures. Provide all safety features with existing MSB mechanisms as per offshore vessel standards. 4. Testing and Validation: Perform system-wide testing under all load-sharing scenarios. Conduct functional tests on generator synchronization and breaker operations.
