NAME OF WORK: PROVISION OF ARBORICULTURE FOR EPs AND CIVILIANS MARRIED ACCN AT ICGS KAKINADA UNDER GE(I)(CG) VIZAG for existing project (PROVISION OF SECURITY WALL WITH CONCERTINA COIL AND MARRIED ACCN FOR COAST GUARD ENROLLED PERSONNEL AND CIVILIANS AT COAST GUARD STATION KAKINADA)

Supply and lay approved best quality Red Soil (without moorum content) and having suitable pH and EC as recommended for saline water conditions and Manure such as Vermi-Compost, Polydol Dust Neem Cake and Organic Manure etc in the ratio of 3:1 (3 Parts of Soil: 1 Part of Manure) complete all as specified and as directed.Notes:(a) Red Soil shall be well seived 90% to pass through IS seive of 10 mm size, free from stone rubbish like lumps, stones and other foreign materials suitable for gardening. The soil shall be free from quarry. The colour of soil generally be red and as directed .(b) Manure shall be well decayed, well dried, well powdered, without clads and free from stones, dried grass and rubbish materials. The colour of manure shall be black and shall be screened at site using IS designation 4.75 Seive.(c) The soil be stacked neatly on level ground. (d) Before execution of soil filling item , Level sheet of existing ground shall be submitted to GE (I).The qty of soil shall be claculated based on initial ground level and final ground level taken at site and applying Sympson\"sRule. Void 10% shall be deducted for compaction.

Supply, plantation and developing of Bermuda Grass including necessary earthwork andexcavation to achieve a depth of 30 cm in any type of soil, removing the roots and vegetation and filling of the excavatd area with good earth (red soil) mixing with cow dung and vermi compost and watering etc and applying soil pesticide, transplanting of Bermuda Grass by dibbling process covering 5 cm x 5 cm, routing the grassetc complete all as specified.Notes: (i)Layout plan for lawn/plants/hedges/grass shall be submitted and get its approval from GE (I) before the execution of respective items.(ii) Cost ofmanure, good soil, pesticides etc shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

Supply, plantation and developing of Gulmohar Plant (height of Each plant not less than 1200 mm above ground level and of age 45 days) with proportional girth, evergreen and shaddy species including preparation of ground by making pit upto 600 mm deep and of size 600 mm x 600 mm cross sectional area and filling of good earth (3 parts) comprising, cow dung and Vermi-Compost (1 part) and watering etc. with and including Tree Guard not less than 2.75 m in height, 600 mm dia made with hard drawn steel wire mesh of pitch 50 mm x 50 mm, 5 mm dia wire and ISA 40 x 40 x 5 mm as in Vertical Supports and MS Flat Iron of size 40 mm x 5 mm, 3 Nos as in Horizontal ties duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide/zinc chromate primer and fixed in ground in palin cement concrete 1:2:4 complete all as specified.Notes: (i)Red soil mixed with manure shall be measured and paid separately unde the relevant item.(ii)Layout plan for lawn/plants/hedges shall be submitted and get its approval from GE (I) before the execution of respective items.Note for Srl item No 2 and 3:(i) The plant and grass shall be maintained up to defect liability period by proper caring and watering as required.(ii) Contractor shall replace the dead plant grass with new alive one during defect liability period without any extra cost to the Government.
