Excavation in Hill area by manual/mechanical means:- Excavation in soil in hill areas all heights and depth in all kind of soilincluding saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hardd rock all work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiselling and wedging out rock( where blasting is prohibited) including cutting and trimming of side slopes and disposing of excavated earth with a lift upto all heights and all leads as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, in conformately with the requirement of technical specification of rural roads clause 1603.1 all useful material such as stone, shingle, aggregates& slate etc. shall be sorted out and stacked along the road side properly.Any loss to the public and private property to during the course of execution shall be the absoulte responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Earth work in excavationfor structure as per drawing and technical specification Clause 305-1 including setting out, construction of shoring and bracin , removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal in all lead and lift including dressisng of sides and bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable materialupto all depth, including carriage of material within all leads and lifts.

Providing and laying cement concrete grade M-10 nominal mix 1:3:6 (1cement:3sand:6 graded stone aggregate 20mm nominal size for plain/reinforced concrete in open foundation complete including form work as per drawings & technicl specification for rural roads clause 802, 803, 1202 & 1203 and curing complete including the cost of form work and hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4mm dia G.I. wire conforming to IS:280 and IS: 4826 in 100mmx100mm mesh (woven diagonally) including 10 per cent extra for laps and joints laid with stone boulders weighing not less than 25Kg each as per drawing and technical specifications Clause 1301 including hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Backfilling behind abutment, wing wall and return wall complete as per drawings and technical specificaton clause 1204.3.8 with granular material as per drawing and technical specificatinos clause 1301 including hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Filling in foundation trenches as per drawings and techanical specifications clause 305.3.9 Earth filling (For all type of soil) including hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Consolidation of sub grade with road roller including making good the undulation oetc. With earth or quarry soil etc. and rerolling the sub-grade completed as per HPPWD specifications including carriage of material within all leads and lifts and as per HPPWD specification of 1990 volume-I and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
