Removal of pig tail, hairpin & tail pipe from the catalyst tube by grinding the weld joint. All the consumables, tools & tackles are in contractor’s scope. All the joints are of ½” NB size.

Cutting of top head and bottom end cap of the cracker catalyst tube. All the consumables, tools & tackles are in contractor’s scope. All the joints are of 3” NB size.

Welding of the tail pipe, pigtail & hairpin tubes with the catalyst tubes. Full TIG welding shall be done by the qualified welder with the Inconel-625 filler wire. The ultrapure Argon gas shall be used for the welding. All the consumables, tools & tackles are in contractor’s scope. Department will provide the filler wire only. All the joints will be subjected to radiography test, if the joint fails in RT same shall be rectified at free of cost.

Welding of the top head and bottom end cap of the cracker catalyst tube. Making edge preparation & fit-up as per code, alignment, root welding and subsequent pass by TIG welding by the qualified welder with the Inconel-625 filler wire as per approved procedure. The ultrapure Argon gas shall be used for the welding. All the consumables, tools & tackles are in contractor’s scope. Department will provide the filler wire only. All the joints will be subjected to radiography test, if the joint fails in RT same shall be rectified at free of cost.

Performing the radiography test, development of the film and interpretation of the film by the qualified person. Arrangement of the skilled manpower, radiation source, film, chemical, etc. are in the contractor’s scope.

Arrangement of scaffolding materials like, scaffolding pipes, clamps, planks, rope, etc. Erection & de-erection of scaffolding at required location.
