Name of Work: Repair and maintenance of damaged Indo Bangladesh B S Fence patches in AOR of 110 BN BSF under SHQ BSF Jowai.
Sl. No. Item Description
1Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) /manual means in foundation trenches or drains (not exceeding 1.5 m inwidth or 10 sqm on plan), including dressing of sides and ramming ofbottoms, lift upto 1.5 m, including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed, within a lead of 50 m.All kinds of soil.
2Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, lead up to 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m.
3Surface dressing of the ground including removing vegetation and inequalities not exceeding 15cm deep and disposal of rubbish , lead up to 50 m and lift up to 1.5All kinds of soil.
4Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level :1:3:6 (1 Cement : 3 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 6 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size derived from natural sources)
5Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level1:5:10 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 10 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size derived from natural sources)
6Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form forFoundations, footings, bases of columns, etc. for mass concrete
7Structural steel work in single section, fixed with or without connecting plate, including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer all complete.
8Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture of required colour to give an even shade :Two or more coats on new work over an under coat of suitable shade with ordinary paint of approved brand and manufacture.
9Demolishing cement concrete manually/ by mechanical means including disposal of material within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer - in - charge. Nominal concrete 1:3:6 or richer mix (i/c equivalent designmix)
10Dismantling steel work in built up sections in angles, tees, flats and channels including all gusset plates, bolts, nuts, cutting rivets, welding etc. including dismembering and stacking within 50 metres lead.
11Dismantling barbed wire or flexible wire rope in fencing including making rolls and stacking within 50 metres lead.
12Supplying and fixing turn buckles and straining bolts for barbed wire fencing. each
13Providing and fixing barbed wire of size 2.5mm x2.0mm type lows type (weight to be not less then 108 gms per meter length) conforming to I.S code to I.S code 278 duly dipped in anticorrosive bitumastic paint (average thickness 45 micron) fixing to the existing M.S angle iron posts placed at 3.m c/c in 23 horizontal rows (16 rows in vertical portion and 7 rows in slanting portion and strechd with M.S hooks/tighting bolts and also properly inter woven with two sets of cross diagonals as per drawing (one on vertical portion and other on slanting portion) with G.I barbed wire of same sepecification, fixing each row of barbed wire to intermidate angle iron post between tightening bolts with spilt cotter pins of size 5x22 (conferming to IS-549 steel), including providing vertical standard of G.Ibarbed wire of same sepecification properly inter woven with horizontal raw of barbed wire at 150 C/C spacing up to height of seven rows of barbed wire above ground level, each vertical strand adequately tied at three staggered place with G.I barbed wire not less than 16 gauge, applying three coat of alkyd zinc phosphate primer / paint approve brand and manufacture ( first coat of red oxide colour, second coat in grey colour and top coat in black colour) on tightening bolts, hooks & cotter pins, nuts washers & bolts, all as per direction of Engineer-in-charge,(b) India side Row

Hooks/ tightening bolts, and also properly inter woven with one sets of cross diagonals as per existing pattern or vertical pottion with G.I. barbed wire of same specification, fixing each rwo of barbed wire to intermendiate angle iron post between tighterning bolts with split cotter pins of size 5x22 (conforming to IS-549 steel), including applying three coat of alkyd zinc phosphate primer/paint of approved brand and manufacture (first coat in red oxide colour, second coat in grey colour and top coat in balck colour) on tightening bolts, hooks & coter pins. nuts washers & bolts, all as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.a) Middle Row (old Pattern)
