1	General Note:-1. Scaffolding is included for all the items upto 10 m whether specified in the item or not, the contractor shall quote rates accordingly2. The contractor shall follow relevant IS codes/technical specifications for execution of work.3. The contractor shall maintain good workman ship and follow safe working procedures during the work.4. All safety & security regulations shall be followed strictly as per specifications& conditions of contract. 5. The contractor shall provide sleeveless Jackets to the workers in required pattern, colour showing name of contractor with address andtelephone number as approved by the Engineer in charge. All the workers must wear the same while on duty.6. Contractor has to make his own arrangements for regulating the work by providing sign boards for Diversion, Men at Work. Danger, Work in progress, Diversions/ Change of Directions etc. at his own cost during exectutuion of work as directed by the Department.7. Removal of vegetation, grass shall be part of the earthwork and no extra payment will be made for the same.8. Rolling of earthwork shall be carried out using 8 tone vibratory roller at no extra cost. 9. Dewatering shall be part of the earthwork items and no extra payment will be made for the same.
2	Earth Work
3	Earth work excavation in foundations in all soils other than soft and hard rock upto the depths specified below including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, lift upto 1.5m including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soils as directed, withina distance of 50 m etc., complete for foundations, plinth beam etc.,
4	a) Upto 1.50 m depth from average ground level.
5	b) Above 1.50 m to 3.00 m depth from average ground level.
6	Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/manual meansin soft rocks over areasincluding getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m, as directed by Engineerin- charge.
7	a) Upto 1.50 m depth from average ground level.

9	Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/manual means in hard rock without blasting over areas including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift more than 1.5m upto 3 m, as directed by Engineerin- charge.

12	Excavation in TRENCHES for pipes, sewers,etc in all soils except soft and hard rockfrom average ground level including dewatering if necessary, dressing bottom to required level, profile/slope, back filling in trenches with selected excavated materials in layers not exceeding 250 mm, consolidating, leveling, clearing of all the areas involving excavation of all grass,rank vegetation, shrubs,bushes,cutting of treesupto 300mm grith measured at 1.0 mtr above ground leveldisposing the spoil within a distance of 50m for ,storm water drains, electrical cables trenches etc.,

15	Felling down carefully trees of girth (measured at a height of 1.0m above ground level) as mentioned below including necessary excavation, removal / destruction of roots, filling the excavated pockets thus formed with good earth, compacting the same, cutting the trunks and branches of trees into suitable pieces for transporting, transporting, stacking and disposing the same at the locations as directed by Engineer – in – Charge, etc., complete.
16	Beyond 30 cm girth upto and including 60 cm girth

20	Chemical blasting using expansive mortar in rocks/PCC/RCC . Drilling vertical or inclined holes in rectangular pattern of required diameter at required spacing and depth. Filling the holes with approved non corrosive and non toxic expansive mortar. Removal of broken pieces of fragmented rocks and making the surface level upto depth of 3m from FFL.
21	Lead charges upto 2KM or part thereoffor additional lead over the initial lead of 50 m by mechanical transport, including loading, unloading, stacking, the disposable soil, rock , other unserviceable materials etc., Note: Measurement of lead charges will be based on truck measurement with a deduction of voids @20%for soil and 50% for rock

26	Excavation in Cutting/Banking/Filling for site leveling or leveling over areas,around the buildings, in plinth, flooring, road formation, aprons, etc., to required levels by mechanical means in all kinds of Soils except Soft and Hard Rock, conveying the approved excavated earth within 200m lead, depositing in layers not exceeding 250mm in thickness, spreading, breaking clods, lumps, watering, dressing, levelling, compacting and consolidating each layer of the filled earthby watering and consolidating with 8 to 10 Ton roller, to proctor density of 95%, dressing the top and sides to correct levels, slopes/camber, grades, profiles, etc., including clearing of all the areas involving excavation and filling, of all grass, rank vegetation, shrubs, bushes, cutting of trees upto 300mm girth measured at 1.0m above ground level, etc., and disposing the spoils to places as directed, etc., complete all as directed. 27	Providing pitching /pitched drain 150mm thick to the slopes of earth using approved local rubble stones, excavating/ forming the earth to required slopes, levels, gradient, etc., to form the base, laying th stones and filling the interstices with smaller stones and blinding with murrum, etc., all complete as directed.
28	Flush pointing to the joints of rubble stone pitching etc., in CM 1:3 to a depth of 20 mm after raking out mud mortar/cement mortar joints, cleaning, pointing neatly and finishing the joints as specified, curing etc., complete all as directed.
