| 4 | Preparing architectural drawing of OHT of 40,000 gal capacity at 21m staging. Tank shall be preferably intze type tank. It shall be ensured that sufficient inlets and outlets of adequate diameter for ingress and overflow of water are duly incorporated. A staircase around the columns or a separate spiral stair case shall be provided for accessing walkway to be provided at bottom level of tank. Access will also be provided to the top of top dome which shall be provided with MS railing all around. All general features applicable to a sound and functional OH tank shall be duly provided. After preparing Arch drawing, it shall be sent to CEJZ for examination and simultaneosly structural Design of OHT shall be carried out as under:(a) Structural design using design software like STAAD. Soil investigation and SBC derived at para-2 above shall be the basis of design. Design shall include all structural components, viz, foundation, columns, beams, slabs, walkways, stair case and railings etc. (b) For design purpose, expected life of the OHT shall be considered as 50 years. The design shall be sound, economical, as per engineering practices. Statutory rules of Govt of India and concerned state Govt and relevant latest versions of BIS codes viz. IS-1893 Part I, IS- 875 Part I to III, IS-456, and IS-13920, IS-4326 and other connected BIS codes shall be duly incorporated as applicable. M30 grade concrete and TMT bars of Fe500 grade shall be used for RCC design of OHT/ water retaining structure. Wind load and seismic load applicable for area where structure is planned shall be duly considered. Complete design folder showing loads applied, frames analysed, structural analysis and design shall be submitted. In case, SBC differs for two sites where OHTs are proposed, separate foundations for both OHTs, as applicable shall be designed and submitted. Rate quoted shall be inclusive of this.(c) Based on structural design carried out, structural drawings shall be prepared. Detailing of drawings shall be as per IS 456, SP-34 and IS 13920.One set of Structural drawings shall be submitted in pdf for scrutiny of CEJZ. After approval by CEJZ, one set of drawings duly vetted by IIT/ NIT/ Govt Engineering College in A1 size tracing sheets shall be submitted. Six copies of this in white A1 sheets and soft copy in PDF shall also be provided.(d) Following checks shall be carried out before submitting the design :-(i)Compatibility of structural drawing with Arch drgs. (ii) No overlapping of foundation footings, beams etc. (iii) Consistency of framing plans, section and schedules of structural componets.(e) Structural drawings shall include:(i) General Structural notes. (ii)Typical details relevant to the structure (iii)Foundation plan (iv)Framing plan at various beam levels (v)Schedules OR detailed drawings of all structural components like foundations, columns, beams, stair case, slabs and any other details covered in Arch drgs. (vi)SBC at proposed depth.(f)(i) Drawings shall be complete in itself and shall be fit for lump sum tendering. No vague reference to codal provsions shall be made. Development length shall be specified whether in compression or tension. The drgs shall use standard notations and practices and should be good enough to enable a diploma qualified Civil Engineer to understand and produce complete bar bending and formwork/shuttering schedule etc.(ii)Consultant will coordinate with Engr-in-charge/ GE/ planning team of CE JZ for assistance in executing work. Service of consultant shall continue during execution stage to seek sound technical decision in case of any unforeseen issue.(iii) The rates quoted shall be for all the services to be delivered including advice, assistance during physical execution of construction work due to unforeseen cicumstances. |
