Double Geared Paddled Paddy Thresher Specifications:a) 1. Dimension: The overall height of the thresher shall be 750 mm.2. Base: The base should be of MS Angle Section of nominal size of at least 30 X 30 X 3 mm and the parts shall be welded to the side frames.3. Side frames:The side frames shall be of MS Angle Section of nominal size of at least 30 X 30 X 3 mm and the parts shall be welded or bolted. The side frames shall support side bolts which shall be made of MS sheet of thickness 0.5 mm to 0.8 mm and this shall be bolted to the side frames.4. Front Grain Shield: The front grain sheet shall be at least 0.5 mm to 0.8 mm thick MS sheet and it shall be fixed with the side frames.5. Rear Grain Shield: The rear grain shield shall be of MS sheet and having thickness of 0.5 mm to 0.8 mm.6. Cylinder: The cylinder shall be constructed of a series of slats supported on each of its two sides by a cylinder end disc. The slats shall carry the threshing teeth. The diameter of the cylinder across the end discs shall be in the range of 400 to 430 mm.7. Cylinder End Disc: The diameter of the cylinder end discs shall be in the range of 400 to 430 mm. The thickness of the MS sheet in case of double disc, shall be minimum 0.6 mm of each disc. MS Bar of 6 mm diameter shall be rolled along the edges of the discs. 8. Slat: Each slat shall be 15 mm thick & 60 mm wide, made of wood. The diameter of the cylinder across the slats shall be in the range of 300 mm to 330 mm. The distance between the two slats shall be in the range of 12mm to 20 mm.9. Threshing Teeth: The threshing teeth shall be made of Spring Steel Wire and at least 3 mm diameter. The wire shall be curved and fixed to the slats in such a way that the distance between the bottom ends of each teeth shall be in the range of 25 mm to 32 mm. The threshing teeth shall project out 50 mm above the surface of the slats. The distance between the tip of the two adjacent teeth shall be between 50 mm to 75 mm.10. Gear Housing: The gear housing shall consist of the spur gear which shall engage the pinion. The Gear ratio shall be not less than 3.5:1.11. Crank: The crank shall be made of MS bar not less than 9 mm in diameter.12. Pedal Frame Fulcrum: The fulcrum shall be made of MS tube or bar. In case of MS tube is used, the inside diameter and thickness shall be at least 20 mm and 2.5 mm respectively, while in case of the bar, it shall be either round or square with 30 mm diameter or sides respectively.12. Pedal Frame: The pedal frame shall be of MS flat of at least 30 X 5 mm size. 13. Pedal Board: The pedal board shall be of wooden plank having minimum size of 25 mm X 65 mm and its length shall depend upon the size of the cylinder.14. Axles: The cylinder axle and the gear stub axle shall be of MS round bar having a diameter between 16 and 20 mm.N.B:- All other dimensions and requirements must confirming to BIS specifications vide IS3327:1982 and all its latest amendments with BIS marked.As per farmers’ requirement, the thresher shall be suitable for motor attachment, single side fitted with 8” pulley (made of cast iron) and with suitable base plate
