Bids Are Invited For Repair and Overhauling Service - THERMAL POWER PLANT; As Per Scope; Yes; Buyer Premises - Removal and restoration of insulation for assisting RLA study work in any one of boiler of TPS-I Expansion. - 1. RMTHBLR6150: Sheeting and lagging removal at all levels varies from 0 to 85 ML after erecting necessary temporary scaffolding/platform and conveying wool debris, aluminium / GI sheet scraps to disposal place – Sqm. A) For Scaffolding: (i) The contractor should arrange to convey pipes, wooden planks / Platform sheets, clamps, binding wire etc., required for the work to the work spot at his cost. (ii) The contractor should arrange for erection of the same at the required locations / levels in boilers as directed by the NLCIL officials. (iii) Considering the Strengthening of the scaffolding, Safety aspects and easy approach to locations, the spacing between the horizontal Pipes normally shall not be closer than 0.75 metres or otherwise as specified by the NLCIL Officials. The spacing of the vertical pipes is as required at site and as instructed by NLCIL Officials. (iv) The scaffolding so erected shall be used by RLA studies work and it shall be removed only after the lagging and sheeting work is completed under Job code No.2 or as per the directions of the NLCIL officials. (v) The tools required for the work are to be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. (vi) The clamps, nuts and pipes shall be cleaned regularly and oiled if necessary for better workability. Rusted pipes should not be used. Also, the scaffolding pipes including wooden planks / platform sheets should be removed immediately after completion of works as directed by the NLCIL Officials and conveyed to safe stacking place. B) For removal of Lagging and Sheeting work: (i) The work includes removal of the sheeting and the lagging in the required areas to expose the metallic parts as instructed by the NLCIL officials. The work includes enabling works such as cutting of metal skin casing, Lugs, etc., if any, at his own cost. (ii) The removed reusable insulation materials if any, should be carefully collected and stacked safely giving protection from wind and rain for re-use. (iii) Sheets should be spread below the area of removal so that the wool is not allowed to let fall in the areas below. The loose wool should be packed in gunny sacks for further transportation to designated places as instructed. C) For skin casing cutting and rewelding work: (i) After removal of insulation, skin casing if any particularly in headers to be cut and removed for RLA studies. (ii) If any ash deposits etc., to be cleaned wherever required for RLA studies. (iii) After completion of RLA studies, skin casing to be welded for further work under job code 2. D) For Disposal of Debris and scraps: (i) Immediately after completion of works, the wool insulation, refractory debris / Al / G.I. Sheet / flat / binding wire debris should be collected from various levels (Heights from 0 to 85 ML) of the boilers, packed in sacks and properly stacked at `0 `m level of the respective units in the area shown by the NLCIL officials. (ii) All re-usable materials have to be sorted out and transported to work shed and accounted as per the directions of NLCIL Officials. (iii) Afterwards, the stacked debris has to be transported to the designated areas inside TSI Exp at his own cost. Measurements will be taken only for the finished surfaces of the actual work done after the item work is completed in all respects. Payment will be made only after removal of the scaffolding and collection and conveyance of debris & scraps to designated places. (iv) Measurements will be taken only for the finished surfaces of the actual work done after the item work is completed in all respects. 2. RMTHBLR6151: Providing lagging of required thickness of new/reused LRB mattress, sheeting with retrieved/new aluminium / GI sheet at all levels from 0 to 85 ML and conveying debris generated to the scrap yard – Sqm. A) For Lagging work: (i) Skin casing to be welded and Lugs or hooks to hold the lagging firmly are to be welded to the metallic part at a spacing not more than 300mm, wherever required. (ii) Lagging is to be made up to the required thickness as directed by the NLCIL officials. (iii) After the lagging work is completed, Retainer plate is welded to the lugs. The lagging shall be cross-stitched with GI binding wires and tied suitably to the lugs or hooks. Joints, if any, of Lagging mattresses pieces should be firmly stitched as instructed. (iv) Fabrication of materials such as lugs, hooks, retainer plates etc. at his own cost. (v) All the materials required for the work are to be transported to the work spot from site shed by the contractor at his own cost. B) For Sheeting works: (i) Aluminium / GI casing supports have to be fixed over the retainer plates. If Aluminium / GI casing supports are not available, necessary GI strips have to be cut from 1mm thick GI sheet to be used as Casing support. Necessary GI sheet of 1mm thick will be issued by NLCIL for this purpose. (ii) The contractor has to arrange to fix the plain / corrugated sheets of Aluminium / GI over the casing supports using GI / Al. screws and rivets. The contractor has to use old sheets also for sheeting purposes after reconditioning them by removing dents if any and fabricating them to the required size and shape. (iii) All the seat joints shall be sealed with sealing agent / putty to avoid air and water entry through the joints in cladding. (iv) All the Materials required for the work have to be transported to the work spot from site-shed by the contractor at his own cost. (v) Measurements for plain areas will be taken for finished surfaces of lagging & sheeting. (vi) Measurements for Valve boxes and venturis and Bends: Actual area of lagging & sheeting done. C) For Disposal of Debris and scraps: (i) Immediately after completion of works, the wool insulation, refractory debris /Al / G.I. Sheet / flat / binding wire debris should be collected from various levels from 0 to 85 ML of the boilers, packed in sacks and properly stacked at `0 `m level of the respective units in the area shown by the NLCIL officials. RMTHBLR6152: Drawl of LRB Mattress bundles from PCS, loading, transportation through Lorry / long bed trailer and unloading at TPS I Exp site storage shed – bundle (Nos). It includes loading and transporting of insulation wool materials from PCS in a Lorry / long bed trailer with a capacity of minimum 25 number of bundles and unload the same in TPS I Exp - boiler maintenance stores as directed by NLCIL officers. Necessary Lorry / long bed trailer and labourers should be arranged by the contractor. Total Quantity :
