Bids Are Invited For Conducting Structural Audit For Rehabilitation , 1 Conducting structural audit for Rehabilitation for the G 2 building nosVisual Survey Visual inspection for surface damages damage classification The visual inspection shall largely cover areas of high distress corrosion moisture leakage abnormal variations in structure algae and fungus growth efflorescence etc Visual inspection would be docemented in the form of worksheets photographic records and distress over drawings Simple tools and instruments like camera with flash light magnifying glass binoculars chisel and hammer etc shall be used for measiring the distresses as per site requirement 2 Rebound Hammer Test Nos of tests not less than 80 For determining the estimated compressie strength of concrete and iniformity of concrete in terms of surface hardness as per IS 13311 Part-2-1992 ASTM C 805-02 BS 60891981 and BS 1881Part 202 BS-EN13791 also establishing correlation chart between rebound hammer and other confirmatory test for having estimated in-sity strength of concrete if required In absence of the confirmatory test strength data will be generated on the basis of empirical formula obtained from the callibration chart 3 Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test Nos of tests not less than 80 for ascertaining the quality of concrete uniformity of concrete in terms of soundness and density of concrete as per IS 13311 Part -1-1992 ASTMC597-83 BS 60981981 and BS 1881Part 203 and BS EN13791 also establishing correlation chart between ultrasonic Pulse velocity and other confirmatory test having estimated insitu strength of concrete if required 4 Core Extraction and Testing Nos of tests not less than 20 Extracting the concrete core samples following the codal provisions and evaluating the properties fck value grade of concrete in the laboratory from the core samples selected IS 4562000 IS 5161959 IS 11992002 ASTM C-42 without encountering any steel reinforcement from the RCC members covered under the study at specified locations by site in-charge 5 Half Cell Potential Test Nos of tests not less than 60 Measuring the half-cell/ surface potentials at selected locations on RCC members of the structures covered under the study to understand the extent of reinforcement corrosion in terms of probable risk of corrosion of steel bar as per ASTM C876 The rate shall include surface preparation moistening concrete surface 6 Carbonation Test Nos of tests not less than 30 Measurement of carbonation depth by phenolphthalein spray test at selected locations drilled powder sample or concrete core sample as per site condition on RCC members of the structures covered under the study to see the depth of carbonation as per BS EN 146302006 BS EN 132952004 Cover depth is also measured at the same location to know the ratio of Carbonation depth 7 pH value Nos of tests not less than 20 to check alkanity fo concrete as per relavent BS 5328 ACI 2012R-92 and ACI-318-99 IS 4562000 BS 8110 8 Report Interpretation and Recommendation Preparing and submitting comprehensive report consisting of findings from visual inspection test data interpretation of results conclusions and final recommendations along with sketch indicating the location of the test recommending suitability of the buildings for special repair or otherwise and suggesting methodology for retrofitting of the buildings Note- i Each type of test will be done in all buildings as per scope of work No of tests in each building should be optimised in such a way that it gives best possible representation of the structural health of the building ii Report should be duly vetted from IIT/NIT iii The HD quality site photographs and video shall be provided in a good quality of CD/DVD along with soft copy 9 Repairing Methodology and retrofitting scheme for structural serviceability and safety periodic maintenance scheme futuristic protection of structures The recommendation for structural repair and rehabilitation to the structures shall have detailed technical specificatiosn materials to be used and design details vulnarability indices and order of urgency to repair Suggesting retrofitting methodology to increase the load carrying capacity of structural members Incl preparation and submission of BOQ and conceptual shceme for Rehabilitation/ retrofitting works feasible and economic options with Rate analysis material specifications execution drawing for strengthening of structure along with technical specifications and periodic inspection and maintenance Total Quantity : 9
