| 2 | Attending day to day water supply service related complaintslike choking of rising main pipes of buildings, blockage in control valves/ float valves/ pipe fittings, arrest leakage in any rising main/roof etc, applying necessaryengineering efforts like dismantle of pipes and fittings to clean and remove blocking objects, descaling of pipes, re-fixing of pipes on wall, etc to restore the proper flow of water to service tanks all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 3 | Note for item No 2 :- (a) The contractor has to attend above mentioned job in any location of entire domestic and tech area of Air Force Stn Sulur. |
| 4 | (b)The service tanks are positioned on roof top of multi storied buildings upto four storey. Contractor is responsible to ensure that the labour employed should be equipped with safety items like industrial helmet, safety belt, extensible ladder of 40 feet length, plumbing and cuttings tools, etc. |
| 5 | (c) The cost of rethreading of GI pipes of 25mm dia and adding of new GI nipple of suitable length after rethreading is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. |
| 6 | (d) Due to shortage of water in the station, the repair work and testing required under this item need to be carried out during water supply distribution hours i.e. 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM. Nothing extra shall be permitted in this regard. |
| 7 | (e) The cost of repair to the damages of cemented surfaces/ external finishes/ metal clamps of rising pipes are also deemed to be included in the quoted rate. |
| 8 | (f)In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 6 hrs after handing over routine/urgent complaints, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty clause given here as under. |
| 9 | (g)If the delay is more then 06 hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 100/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt. |

| 11 | M&L for detecting and repairing leakage in CI/DI pipe lines of size 80mm/100mm/150mm bore, taking up unserviceable / serviceable CI/DI water main with spigot and socket ends (including fittings) of any type/grade and joints from trenches and laying new CI/DI pipe lines of size80mm/100mm/150mm bore in trenches or placing on existing pillars /supports as directed to perform the following activities :(a) Excavation and earth work in soil/mud by using machinery/labour to suitable length (Appx 10 mtrs) and forming bund with excavated soil to avoid sea/row water entering into the working area including pumping/bailing out water by using portable deisel engine driven pump set.(b) Cutting of CI/DI pipe of siz80mm/100mm/150mm bore after thorough inspection for the damaged pipe line including disconnecting / dismantling.(c) Taking out CI/DI pipe with CI/DI specials after removing from joints/burning out joints and removing lead at both ends with the help of hydrolic crane other machinery and keeping aside for further disposal.(d) Cutting of new pipe into pieces as per requirement and laying using machinery.(e) Aligning the pipe line as per site condition, inserting the CI collar suitable for80mm/100mm/150mm CI/DI pipe.(f) Attending repair work within the minimum time frame/period as specified by Engr-in-Charge |
