| 1 | Cleaning and maintaining the sewage system for the entire Technical Area of Air Force Station Halwara and allied establishments which consists ofIWCs, EWCs, WHB, sinks, bottle traps, Nahani traps, floor traps, soil/waste/vent pipes of various dia connected to sanitary fittings/traps and/or running on external walls of buildings of any height, in sunken floors, burried in trenches of any depth including junctions, Manholes of anydescription (any size/depth) and under ground sewage/sullage lines of any sizes/dia upto the final drop outlet into septic tank/soak well/Manhole of central sewage system, in running/flowing condition without disturbance or damages to existing system including removing all types of blockagesin above mentioned sanitary fittings/traps/sewage lines/man holes in any position as and when occures and ensuring free flow of the sewage/sullage from the point of origin to the final disposal end and disposal of the sludge/waste materials removed from above mentioned sanitary fittings/traps/sewage linesoutside defence land without causing any nuisence to Air Force community/civil public andin confirmity with the regulations of local authorities, without any extra cost to Govt, during the currency of the contract. Areas covered under the contract are Technical Area of Air Force, complete all as specified and directed. |
| 2 | (a) Sufficient man power shall be detailed on all days including Sundays and holidays for the above mentioned job during the entire contract period. In case, additional man power is necessiated for completion of any job, the contractor shall provide required man power without any extra cost. The supervisor shall report to JE in charge of the work daily by 09 hrs and 14 00 hrs to receive the complaints and other details of works to be done. The workers and supervisor shall leave the primeses only on completion of the jobs assigned for the day / 17 30 hrs which ever is later and the supervisor shall return the job card daily to the JE and will give a brief of the works done before leaving. (b) The rate quoted shall be deemed to include for all necessary tools and plants required for satisfactory completion of the work.The rate quoted shall also include for removal, and refixing up on completion of job, the CI/RCC covers of manholes/septic tanks/soakwells, grills/gratings, opening and refixing of doors ofpipe lines etc as required. |
| 3 | (c)Penalty for non completion of work in given time :-The works assigned for the day shall be completed by the same day, preferably within 9.30 hrs to 17.30 hrs after receipt of the work orders /instructions by the supervisor. In case, due to any unforeseen technical reasons, if the work is unable to complete by the same day, the matter shall be informed to the Engr-in-Charge by the contractor in writing and permission of Engr-in-Charge to carry over the work to next day shall be taken in writing. In such situations, the work shall beresumed by the very next day and the work shall be completed in the shortest possible time. In the event of failure to complete the work ordered on the contractor by the same day due to non detailment of sufficient workmen or any other reason attributable to the contractor, a penalty sum of Rs.1000.00 for each complaint per day of delay shall be imposed on contractor.The decision of GE (AF) Halwara regarding penalty shall be final and binding. |
| 4 | Dewatering / desludging of septic tanks, soakage wells, manhole etc by mechnical means using Sewage waste collection Truck / Vehicle including cleaning of all sludge, silt residue of both organic and inorganic nature by mechanical scrappers etc and disposal off the same out side the defence areawithout causing any nuisence to Air Force community / civil public andin confirmity with the regulations of local authorities, without any extra cost to Govt, complete all as specified and directed.Note :- 1. For measurement of cubic content of sludge please refer PS Clause No 23.1.2. Work shall be carried out in foul conditions.After dewatering, sewage systems shall be allowed to dry . 3. Sewage/ sullage shall be removed in closed container mounted on vehicle.4. Work shall be carried out as and when required.5. Work will done only when one supervisor is present at site who will be responsible for ensuring safety of the labours engaged. |
| 5 | Bailing out (dewatering) of water, sewage (sullage), liquid, semi liquid and solid suspended contents and floating matters of filteration bed of size 149.7m X62.20mtr(double chamber) having approximate depth upto 9.00 metre by mechanical pumping only by plugging inlets as required desludging and getting out mud/ sludge/ silt/clay/sand/grit etc and all other foreign organic and inorganic materials, from filteration bed and getting out muddy sludge, silt and all other foreign particle material, grass, bushes, vegetation etc and removing outside cantonment area up to a distance of 1.5 KM deposited where directed in borrow pits and covering the buried pit with 15cm thick layer of earth/soil; including carrying it outside the cantonment area and re-fixing the manhole cover to its original position and removing and depositing out of defence land or where as directed by Engineer-in-Charge and making oxidation pond fully functional to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.Note:1 Work shall be crried out in foul conditions.2. Sewage/ sullage shall be removed in closed container mounted on vehicle.3Work shall be carried out as and when required.4. Work will be carried out only when one supervisor is present at site who will be responsible for ensuring safety of the labours engaged. |
