| 1 | Material and labour for earth pit indicator board made out of 300 x 300 x 3 mm MS sheet fixed on and including25 x 25 x 3 mm angle Iron post 1 metre length with PCC 1:2:4 type B1 foundation block of size 200m x 200m x 300 mm height using 20mm graded stone aggregate and painting exposted surface of steel with two coats of syenthetic enamel paint over coat of red oxide primer and writing letter of size nexc 60mm height complete all as specified and directed by Engineer - in - charge. The indicator should indicate the following :- (i)Earth Pit No.(ii)Earth result in Ohms(iii) Date of testingNote :- (i) Cost of excavation of earth in any type of strata for erection of earth pit indicator board removal of surplus soil/rock upto 50 metre from starting point, and returning filling in of soil is deemed to be included in the quoted rates. |

| 3 | Material and labour for earthing with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground earth pit not less than 2.25 Metre deep below ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 Metre below normal ground level connected to galvanised strip 32 x 6 mm by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts, washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 03 of SSR Part I connected to earthing test point including excavation/ earth work in any type of strata, removal of surplus excavated material, GI pipe for watering and funnel, PCC 1:3:6 type C1 using 40mm graded stone aggregate chamber including necessary formwork / mould for fair and even surfaces, precast RCC 1:2:4 type B0 using 12.5mm graded stone aggregate chamber cover slab, GI funnel, with GI watering pipe 20 mm dia medium grade, wire mesh, protection pipe 40 mm dia GI pipe light grade for earth lead upto 7.50 metre long including testing salt, charcoal complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.Note : Test report shall be prepared and submitted by the contractor in triplicate duly obtaining signatures of MES JE / AGE & PMG / user.Test results are to be written in letters of 20mm height in white colour on black paint back ground. |
| 4 | Material and labour for Testing of conventional type lightning protection system as specified here under in Techanical Area/ Lab / Magzine bldgs inside HEMRL Complex :-(a) Before testing a visual check to be carried out jointly by the contractor, Engr-in-Charge and rep of users for the mechanical condition of all conductors, bonds, joints. (b)Testing continuity and resistance of conductors, ohmic resistance of lightning conductor system complete with air termination but without the earth electrode connection and recording results. (c)Testing of each earth electrode point without continuity conductors, air termination and ring conductor. (d)Testing the resistance to earth of the whole installations with all earth electrodes continuity, conductors, air termination and bonding of other services and results are to be recorded. (e) All above testing are to be done in accordance with STEC Pamphlate No. 7 and IS 2309, 1999 (2nd revision) and IS 3043, 1987.The results are to be recorded in a prescribed format duly signed by contractor, Engr-in-Charge and rep of users and to be submitted by contractor in triplicate.Notes : (i) The testing mentioned above against 5 (b) to (e) will be conducted only after rectifying the defects observed during visual check. (ii) Material and labour required for rectification of defects observed will be measured and paid separately under relevant items of sch \"A\".(iii) Unit rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of writing board in white colour letters n.exc. 2 cm height on the black colour back ground on wall such as - Tested on, Due date of testing, E.g. EP No. 1-ER 10 ohms.EP No. should be mentioned on individual earth pits and ER value of installation etc. all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.(iv)Contractor has to arrange necessary testing instruments of suitable range duly latest calibrated (certificatesto be produced).The rate quoted is deemed to be include the above provision. (v)If ohmic resistance value exceeds 1 ohm the system to be rectified by cleaning with CRC solution, tightening, replacement of bolts / nuts, rivets, etc; to get value below 1 ohm.Note : LP system for complete bldg/magzine/shed/lab will be mesured as one unit. |

| 24 | Material and labour for maintenance free grounding solution set earthing comprising of 17.2 mm copper bonded earthing rod, 3 metre long, copper terminal size of 100 x 50 x 6 mm with 2 nos M8 holes for termination. Electrode must be tested for a short circuit test of minimum 40 KA at CPRI/ NABL. The earthing electrode will be placed in the ground after a bore is drilled to the depth of 3.5 metre. The bore drilling will be done with the help of a pneumatic boring machine, 50 kgs BFC will be placed in the bore to cover the earthing rod from all sides. BFC will poured in slurry form in properly mixed condition. The earth pit cover 300x300x240 mm to be provided to cover the earth pit and shall be made of reinforced FRP and should be capable of carrying the weight of 5 Tonscomplete all as specified and directed. Note:-(i) Copper strip beyond 7.5 metre will be measured and paid separately. (ii) Resistance of earthing should not more than 2 Ohm. Test report shall be prepared and submitted by the contractor in triplicate duly obtaining signatures of MES JE / AGE & PMG user .
