| 1 | Soil investigation at the proposed construction sites at location of watch towers by drilling 100mm dia bore hole up to a depth of 10m below the ground level or 1m into the hard rock strata(whichever is earlier) in any type of strata complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. |
| 2 | Note:- (a) Mobilization of tools, plants, equipments and manpower required for carrying out soil investigation, setting of boring/drilling as required and later demobilization of plants and equipments after completion of work. (b) Collecting undisturbed and disturbed samples and performing STP test at every 1.5m interval. (c) Conveyance of sample collected at site to the testing lab as required for the purpose of testing and analysis. (d) Lab testing including triaxial test, direct shear test, liquid limit, plastic limit, plasticity index, grain size, specific gravity, ground water table, soil classification, bore logs and bore hole chart, permissible settlement, unconsolidated test on undisturbed sample, crushing strength of hard rock samples recovered, unconsolidated triaxial shear test etc. |
| 3 | (e) Estimation of SBC of soil. (f) Submitting photographic record during the process. (g) Soil investigation shall be carried out by authorised consultants/NABL accredated labs, before the commencement of the work and the test report shall be submitted to GE in triplicate duly vetted by NIT/IIT/any of the Govt engineering colleges/NABL accredated labs along with re confirmation about the safety of foundation details specified in the tender. Decision of GE shall be final and binding. (h) Before the commencement of soil investigation work, the contractor shall submitt in writing to GE, the details of consultant/Lab through which soil investigation proposed to be conducted. |
| 4 | Material and labour for trial pit excavation in any type of soil of size 1.2mx1.2mx2.0m and getting undisturbed and disturbed samples for performing necessary tests to obtain bearing capacity of soil complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. |
| 5 | To carry out structural design and preparation of Arch and structural drawings and detailed estimate of watch Tower consisting of area 77.16 Sqm and height 8.6 mtr (G+2) with sloped roof a per line plan provided in respect of "Provision of Compound wall with Gate and watch Tower in 4032 SQ MTR (01 ACRE) Land for Radar Station at Suhelipar Island " based on BPs and AEs provided by the department. |
| 6 | Note:- (a) Consultancy firm has to submit Arch and structural drawings along with calculation sheet one orginal set on auto cad (soft copy as well as hard copy). The drawing has to be got approved from HQ CWE (NB) kochi. The Architectural/Structural Engineers of the consultant should discuss drawings and all the design parameters with CWE (NB) Kochi before proceeding with the actual work. Stage wise checking of Design shall be got done from HQ CWE (NB) Kochi.(b)The design of the building shall be scientifically designed using latest codal provision/engineering practices and should be economically efficient and grade of concrete shall be not less than M-30 and steel Fe-500D as per relevent IS. Load combination shall be as per IS-875, IS-1893, IS-4326, IS-13920 and IS 456:2000 (latest version). Important factor shall be as per relevent IS clause pertaining to seismic provisions. The design shall be done on latest version of ETABS/STAAD/STAAD Pro. The confirmation for use of softwae shall be obtained from HQ CWE (NB) Kochi. |
| 7 | (c) Designs and drawings shall be in compliance as per sound engineering practices, adherance to NBC norms, statutory orders and regulations and relevant IS code etc. (d) The consultant should be available at any mid-term review of design requirement based on soil investigation report and during currency of works due to site requirements. In case of any defect/damage detected in the designated infrastructure during its design life and if the same is attributed to faulty drawing/ design, the consultant will be held responsible and financially liable for the same . |
| 8 | (e)The consultant shall submit the following documents in proper presentable form in soft and hard copies to HQ CWE (NB) Kochi:- (i) Input data file of STABS/SAP/SAFE(ii) Design philosophy and list of codes and BIS publication followed. (iii) Design calculation, detailed load calculation and final report in soft and hard copy. (iv) Architectural drawings and Structural drawings in Auto CAD. (v) All architectural drawings and structural drawings (one original set in tracing alongwith 3 copies including foundation plan, floor plan. roof plans, site plan, schedule of finishes, internal water supply and electrification daigram. (The position of grid beams details of staircase and all relevant details of drawings)(vi) Report, and all drawings are to be prepared as for lump sump contract.(vii) Report will be deemed complete only on submission of all items as per scope and formal approval of accepting offier. (viii) Detailed estimate, Yardstick and Market rate analysis of the structure based on MES SSR 2020. (ix) Arch and Structural Drawings and Detailed Estimates, Yardsticks and Market rate analysis and design calculations,test reports etc.shall be submitted to GE in triplicate duly vetted by NIT/IIT/any of the Govt engineering colleges/NABL accredated labs Only. |
