Name of Work : PAINTING TO RUNWAY CENTRE LINE, SIDE STRIPS, LINKS AND RUBBER REMOVAL INCLUDING CONNECTED WORKS IN AIRFIELD TECH AREA AT AFS GWALIOR

1M&L for scrapping of existing water base paint/ reflective paint on rigid/flexible pavement of runway by manually with wire brush, steel scraper or mechanically and brooming down the surface including removal of debris outside the runway etc complete all as specified and directed
2M&L for one coat of water base paint for painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc on bituminous/concrete surfaces exceeding 10cm width with Machine (Air/ Airless spray applications). Colour of Water basepaint will bewhite, yellow, black & red as per the requirement in Air field complete all as specified and directed . Paint shall be conforming to IS-164 of Berger "Guideline RM 164" , Asian paints "Apcotrak IS" or equivalent as approved by GE. Specification of the machine is as under :- Graco line lazer 5900 with 2 guns, Graco line lazer 200HS, Wagner company or equivalent with same specifications.
3Description all as per item No 2 here-in-beforebut, including Black Border complete allas specified and directed
4Description all as per item no 2 here-in-beforebut one coat of retro reflective paint to obtain WFT 300 microns including drop on glass beads @ 350 grams per Sqm (TTB 1325 type III and having refractive index 1.9) . Paint shall be of Berger "Guideline RM 164" , Asian paints "Apcotrak IS" or equivalent as approved by GE.
5Description all as per item No 4 here-in-beforebut, including Black Border complete allas specified and directed
6M&L one coat of synthetic enamel paint onbrick/stone/concrete/AC sheet/ plastered/ wooden surface etc of any description not otherwise described, over 10 cm width or girth includingpreparation of old /previously treated surface complete all as specified and directed.
7Description all as per item No 6 here-in-beforebut on steel or iron surfaces complete all as specified and directed.
8M&L cleaning down the old treated surface of under/over shoot area of runway to remove dust, dirt by wire brushes and brooming downthe surface, cleaning with water andapplying evenly 02 (two) coats of cement base paint, complete all as specified and directed.
9M&L for removal of rubber deposition including use of equipments for removal on Air field pavements designated by the Engineers/users using high water pressure/Ultra high water pressure vaccumising all debris/FOD removal in the precess including friction test should be carried out before and after rubber removal complete as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The surface is damage by the removal of Rubber deposit the contractor has been repair at own cost as per direction by the Engr-in-charge.
10M&L for removal of paint deposits on runway and Airfield pavement surface designated by the Engineers/users mechanically using high pressure water jet technology including vaccumising all debris/FOD removal in the process complete so that the total paint deposits should be removed and Airfield pavement surface texture and surface condition remain intact complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The machine should be equipped with a high performance regulator, to adjust/control the dwell time ( the duration of water jet remaining over a unit of area during operation ) and pressure of water jet, so as to prevent any damage ot runway surface. The surface is damage by the removal of Paint by the contractor shall be repaired at his own cost as per direction bythe Engr-in-charge.
11Demolition of flexible / rigid pavement of any description and in any position by means of mechanical method including cutting by machine of existing edges / boundary of any thickness and removing the material exc. 5km but not exc. 8 km complete all as specified and directed.
12M&L for 150 mm thick dry lean concrete of compressive strength not less than 7 Mpa at 7 days (Min cement content should be less than 140 Kg/Cum) complete all as specified anddirected.
13M&L for 10mm thick layer of sand including watering rolling over DLC complete all as specified and directed.
14M&L for 400 micron HDPE sheet virgin quality having min weight 390 gm per sqm over sand layer complete all as specified and directed.
15M&L for pavement quality control concrete using crushed stone aggregate having minimum field flexural strength of 45 Kg/Sqcm and characteristic compressive strength 40 N/Sqmm in pavement using non circular/triangular synthetic fibre @ 0.25% by weight of cement used laid to level, gradient and camber including necessary form workcomplete all as specified and directed. Note : Non circular / triangular fibre shall be measured and paid for separately as supply only.
16Supply only polyester non-circular/triangular fibres 12-18 mm long with circum circle diameter 15-40 micron, designed for melting point of 250 degree Celsius and having specific gravity of 1.34 to 1.39 complete all as specified and as directed.
17M&L for finishing of concrete pavements by belting and brooming without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed
18M&L for forming construction/dummy joint 8-10mm wide and 100mm deep, primed and providing a back up rod/debonding strip and top 10mm primed and sealed with and using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturer"s recommendations complete all as specified and directed.
19M&L for forming 25mm wide expansion joint to full depth of slabs (300mm thick) and filled with compressible rubber filler board (silflex dura board HD 100 of supreme make or equivalent) and providing a back up rod/debonding strip and top 12mm (excluding 2 to 3 mm recess at top) primed and sealed with and using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturer"s recommendations, complete all as specified and as directed (including cutting edges of existing pavements for forming expansion joints between existing and proposed slab if required).Note: Compressible filler board shall be fixed after full depth cutting of slab, complete all as specified and directed.
20M&L for preparation of existing joints by manually/mechanically raking out to depth of 20 to 25mm and width of joints 5 to 10mm,cleaning the joints with coir brushes and removing all the fine particles, cleaning to concrete surfaces and joints with the help of air compressor and removing away the existing sealing compound and all other loose materials to a distance exc 200 meter but n.exc 250meter as directed and provided a back rod of width 3-5 mm more than width of joints / debonding strip of width equal to joint width ,applying primer to joint with light pressure and filling the joints with polyurethane base sealing compound (pitch free) ISI markedcompound to a depth 10 to 12 mm including fixing masking tape to prevent edges of joints becoming dirty due to spillage of sealant complete all as specified and directed.
21Description same all as per item No 20 above but width of joints 11mm to 15mm complete all as specified and directed.
22Description same all as per item No 20 above but width of joints 16mm to 20mm complete all as specified and directed.
