Name of Work : SPECIAL REPAIR TO HELIPAD AT DRAS UNDER GE KARGIL
Sl. No. Item Description
1Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in arean exc 400 sqm ( depth exceeding 50 mm but n. exc 100 mm) including stacking usable materials for re-use and removing rubbish to a distance n. exc 50 mcomplete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.
2Preparaingunsurfaced WBM surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surafces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc andapplying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen VG-10 @ 10 Kg per 10 Sqm, complete all as apecified and as directed by Eng-in-charge.
3Premixed bituminious macadam with 4% of binder content by weight of total mix using paving bitumen VG-10 laid with self propelling mechanical paver, rolled & compacted with roller 8 to 10 ton to required gradient and cabmer ( consolidated thickness upto maximum 75 mm) to make good the cut edges of roads etc, complete all as specifiedand directed by Engineer-in-charge.
4Repair to pot holes any depth not exc 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water scoring sunken surfaces in roads, path etc including cutting around edges to atleast 25mm in depth and making goodby applying tack coat using paving bitumen VG-10 @5 kg per 10 sq m. putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sq m, blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings), depth of potholes exc 30mmand directed by Engineer-in-charge.
5Preparaingexisting black top surafce by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surafces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming / tack coat with cationic bitumen emulsion RS-I@ 3Kg/10 Sqm complete all as apecified and as directed by Eng-in-charge
6Bituminous premixed asphaltic semi dense concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 6% binder content using paving bitumen VG-10 by weight of total mix laid with self propelling mechanical paver, rolled and compacted with roller of 8 to 12 ton to required camber and gradient with power roller complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:-As a result of job mix formula, if quantity of binder content works out to be more than 6% than no extra payment shall be made to the contractor and in case its quantity works out to be less than 6% than minimum binder content of 6% given here in above shall be provided.
7Preparation of new / old road surfaces and applying reflective thermoplastic road marking paint (White or golden yellow) of minimum 2.50 mm thick (conforming to BIS-3262), single coat as in centre line and edge line road marking n exc 10 cm wide using "HOT MARK" by indigenous modern propelled road marking machine as directed including all ingredients such as binder, glass beads, titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, inter filler as specified in table 803.4of MORTH specification,thermoplastic requirement for glass beads shall be as specified in (intermix) type-I, MOST/BS 6088Aand road marking shall done as per provisions contained in IRC-35-1997, complete allas specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
