6Excavation in trenches in soft/disintegrated rock not exceeding 1.50 metre wide and not exceeding 1.5 metre in depth for foundation, laying of cables, pipes, strips and similar items etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pierholes, etc. not exceeding 10 sq. m on plan and n exc 1.5m in depth and getting out complete, all as specified.
7Excavation over areas, n exc 1.5 m deep and getting out in soft/disintegrated rock complete, all as specified.
8Returning, filling in, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick each in soft/loose soil, complete, all as specified and directed.
9Removingof surplussoil / excavated material to a distancenot exceeding 50 metre and depositing where directed complete, all as specified.
10Removingof excavated soft/disintegrated rock to a distanceexceeding 250 metre but not exceeding 500 metre and depositing where directed complete, all as specified.
11Forming embankment from soil including raising (or lowering) earth, spreading in layers not exceeding 30 Cm thick, watering, ramming/rolling and finishing to required size, shape, etc, not exceeding 1.5 metre high from base under optimum moisture conditions to specified proctor density not less than 95 percent complete all as specified and as directed. Note : For payment purpose quantity after deduction of 5% for bulkage from measured volume of filling shall be allowed.
12Hand packing with broken stone or boulders any thickness at back of the walls, over arches etc and raising (or lowering) to the required level complete all as specified and as directed.
13Plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-2,using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as in foundations, filling and mass concrete complete, all as specified and as directed.
14Plain cement concrete (1:4:8) type D-2,using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as in foundations, filling and mass concrete complete, all as specified and as directed.
15Plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-0, using 12.5 mm graded stone aggregate as in surface channels/drains/as in benching complete all as specified.
16Plain cement concrete (1:3:6) type C-2, using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as in surface channels/drains/as in benching complete all as specified.
17Extra for forming fair finished drain or channel 30 cm inner girth in cement concrete, using extra cement, including forms, moulds, mitred/stopped end etc. complete, all as specified.
18PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate as in coping, lintels upto 1.5m clear span, cills, steps; seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates and the like including weathering, slightly rounded for chamfered angles and throating including use & waste of formwork complete, all as specified and as directed.
19Reinforced cement concrete M-30 (Design Mix) using 20 mm graded stone aggregates as in foundation, including raft footings, foundation beams, plinth beams, bases for columns etc and mass concrete complete, all as specified and as directed.
20Reinforced cement concrete M-30 (Design Mix) using 20 mm graded stone aggregates as in walls, retaining walls, basement walls, ballast walls and the like; any thickness; above top of footings; including attached pilasters and buttresses complete, all as specified and as directed.
21Reinforced cement concrete M-25 (Design Mix) using 20 mm graded stone aggregatesas infloor/roof slabs etc supported on walls, column, beams etc ,complete all as specified and directed
22Formwork to sides of concrete foundation, footings, bases of columns, raft and raft beams, sides and soffits of foundation and plinth beams; and similar work; vertical or to batter, for rough finished, flat surfaces of concrete complete, all as specified and as directed.
23Formwork to faces of walls, retaining walls, abutments, parapets and staircase railings and similar work including attached pillasters, buttresses, etc.; vertical or to batter for rough finished, flat surfaces of concrete complete, all as specified and as directed.
24Formwork to soffits of suspened slabs not exceeding 200mm thick such as roof slabs, floor slabs, deck slabs, landing slabs and similar work, for rough finished flat surface ( horizontal or sloping),complete all as specified and as directed.
25Formwork to edges of concrete flats, treads, breaks in floors,window cills, concrete railings,openings in concrete walls, floor and roofs n exc 20 cm wide and sides of RCC/PCC bands in walls, horizontal or sloping and similar work exc 10 cm but n exc 20cm wide complete all as specified and directed.
26Brick work with sub class ‘B’ old size bricks of class designation 150, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6.00 mtr mean radius built in cement mortar (1:4) including corbellings etc, raking out joints internally and also externally (above G.L.) for plastering and externally joints pointed flush below ground level in the same mortar as the work proceeds complete all as specified.
27Walling of squared rubble regular coursed, well bonded, bedded & solidly hearted built in cement mortar 1:4 complete, all as specified and directed. (Note : Volume occupied by PCC bond stone shall not be measured against this item. Volume occupied by PCC bond stone shall be measured and under respective of BOQ.)
28Material and labour for Boulder filling dry, handpacked tightly, as in wire crate apron bunds (Wire crate measured separately) complete all as specified and directed. Note :Wire crate shall be measured and paid for separately.
29Boulder filling (Except boulders) dry, handpacked tightly, as in wire crate apron bunds (Wire crate measured separately) complete all as specified and directed. Notes :1. Wire crate shall be measured and paid for separately. 2. Old boulders obtained from demolition/dismantling shall be re-used.
30Material and labour for Boulder pitching, laid, hand packed tightly and grouted with cement and sand mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and directed.
31PVC(SWR) pipe 110mm dia as in weep hole, embedded properly in masonry while construction complete, all as specified and directed.
32Supply and fix 4mm dia galvanised steel wire, 150mm x 100mm mesh, made up into mattresses or cages, lapped, wired and placed/laid in position, binding and j ointing edges with 4mm dia galvanised steel wire to form complete mattresses including closing after filling complete all as specified and directed. Notes : 1. The mattresses shall be formed by looping the wires at each intersection. 2.Stone, boulder or other filling shall be measured and paid for separately.
33Mild steel TMT bars 10mm dia and over, cut to length, bent to shape, required, includingcranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia complete, all as specified and as directed.
34Mild steel TMT bars 6mm to 8 mm dia, cut to length, bent to shape, required, includingcranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia complete, all as specified and as directed.
35Mild steel TMT bars, 5mm dia and over upto and including 10mm dia in stirrups, spacers and binders , cut to length, bent to shape required including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia complete, all as specified.
36Rendering 15 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 on fair faces ofbrickwok or concrete surfaces, trowelled to even and smooth finish without using extra cement complete all as specified.
37Struck pointing to squared rubble walling, regular coursed in CM 1:3 complete, all as specified and directed.
38Preparation of new or previously untreated surfaces of walls and applying two coats of cement base paint complete all as specified.
39Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces exc 50mm but not exc 100mm deep and area not exc 400 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.
40Rolling and consolidating road formation surfaces in cutting with 8 to 12 tonne capacity power road roller, watering as necessary including filling in hollows and depressions and consolidating to the required level, gradient and camber complete all as specified
41Soling (or sub base), 150 mm thick (spread thickness), with broken boulders or quarried stone (sand stone, flint or quartzite) including filling of interstices, surface formed and rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber with power roller of capacity 8 to 12 tonne, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
42Water bound macadam (WBM) 150mm thick (compacted thickness) in two separate layers, each layer of 75 mm thickwith mechanically crushed stone aggregates (granite,trap or basalt stone ), for first layer grading 3 (50mm to 20mm size),for second layer grading 2 (63 to 40mm size),surface of each layer will be blinded with stone screening Grade type ‘A,watered ,consolidated to required gradientand camber with power roller of capacity 8 to 12 tonne,consolidated to required camber & gradient, complete all as specified and as directed. NOTES: 1. Cost of provision of screening & binding material in both layers is also included in the unit rate inserted above. 2. For payment purpose,both layers shall be considered as one unit.
43Preparation ofun-surfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud ,dust, loose material, foreign material etc., sweeping with power brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with air compressors to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming coaton un-surfaced wet mix macadam surfaces conforming to Clause 502 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), with cationic bituminous emulsion SS1 grade,confirming to IS 8887(latest edition) @ 7.5 kg per 10 sq metres using primer distributor which shall be self-propelled or towed bitumen pressure sprayer complete all as specified and directed.
44Providing, laying & compaction of Bituminous Macadam (BM) conforming to Clause 504 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), using mechanically crushed stone aggregates and granual material etc. ofgrading II as per Table 500-7 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision),premixed with bituminous binder, Bitumen grade VG-30 @ 3.50% (percentage by weight oftotal mix) prepared in Batch Type Hot Mix Plant of 100-120 TPH capacity transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density complete all as specified and directed. Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 3.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job mix formula as perMoRT&H specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less 3.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 504.2.4 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 45.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.
45Preparation ofbituminous black top surfacesand applying evenly a Tack coat conforming to Clause 503 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision), with cationic bituminous emulsion RS1 grade,confirming to IS 8887(latest edition) @ 2.5 kg per 10 sq metres using using primer distributor which shall be self-propelled or towed bitumen pressure sprayer complete all as specified and directed.
46Providing and laying 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) Bituminous Concrete (BC) layer conforming to clause 507 of MoRT&H specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler, 5.5% binder (paving Bitumen grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2, Anti Stripping Agent, Warm Mix Additives (quantity, quality and grade as per the approved Job Mix Formula) etc,cleaning and pre-heating of the mineral aggregate, filler & bitumen to the specific temperature, thoroughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content, Anti Stripping Agent, Warm Mix Additives as per mix design in Hot Mix Plant of 100-120 TPH capacity, carrying the hot mixed materials by means of tipper, trucks, or any other approved and suitable arrangements, laying the hot premixed materials over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, level and camber thorough rolling with power roller 8 to 12 tonnes smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface, including running expense of all plants and machineries, inclusive of proper traffic control during laying to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge, required quality control tests at required interval etc complete in all respects complete all as specified and directed.
47NOTES : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job mix formula as per clause No 505.3.3 of MoRT&H specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less 5.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 507.2.5 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii)The cost of materials, transportation, Job mix formula from lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) Cost of filler i.e rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemed to be included in unit rate. (iv) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 45.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made. (v) After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MoRT&H specifications entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonnes (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8 -10 tonnes static weight, followed by finish rolling with 6 to 8 tonnes smoooth wheeled tandem roller as per clause No 507.4.8 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision) and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate.
48Note: For the purpose of arriving at Contract sum, the amount of Schedule of credit (i.e Rs 3,87,570.00) shall be deducted from the total amount arrived.
