| 2 | M&L for Raking out existing filling in Construction & Dummy joints of width exc 08mm but n. exc. 15mm up to required depth as specified & as directed by special tools like concrete cutter, wire/coir brushes/ machines and joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air, making free from all the loose materials i.e., dirt, dust, grease, existing sealing compound, backup rod, etc including sticked material of existing compound raked up to full depth (up to 40mm) of joints etc to entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge and filling the joint with polyurethane joint sealing compound using mechanical means with depth of joint sealing compound not less than 13mm (minimum depth above the back up rod) with minimum performance guarantee of 10 years and minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) + 30% confirming to the requirements of BS-5212 and EN-141875-2003 for Hydrolysis/ water resistance test including applying primer (applied twice on one side by forward and reverse movement of brush) and filling the balance raked depth of joint with backup material i.e. polythene backup rod to ensure tight packing, so that no gaps or voids exist at the top of backup material and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental slippage of sealant on top surfaces to give a neat finish to the sealant and remove the masking tape after sealant is applied as required complete as per manufacturer\"s instructions complete and all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.(NOTE: Polythene back up rod, if required to be replaced shall be measured and paid separately. Cost of other materials are deemed to be included in the quoted rates) |
