Name of Work :Maintenance and improvement of landscape area in UGC, IFFRM, STC-V and TSTC areas in IGCAR at Kalpakkam during the year 2024-2025.
Sl. No. Item Description
1Maintenance of lawns, flower beds, hedges, trees etc., in garden area by watering at regular intervals, cutting and trimming hedges, and the unwanted growth of grasses as and when required including running lawn mover, removing weeds, collecting the cut grass, fallen leaves of trees and disposing the same at dumping yards shown by the department, watering the trees inside the garden area complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note: 1. The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of cut grass, leaves etc., to the dumping yard. 2. The rate shall also include cost of all tools, plants, water delivery hose required for gardening etc. 3. The rate quoted shall be per Sq.m. area maintained per month. 4. Contractor has to make his own arrangement for Lawn Movers. If departmental lawn movers is available it will be provided by department on chargeable basis. 5. If lawn mover is not used, then recovery at the rate of 20 Paise / Sq.m. will be levied as penalty from RA Bill. 6. The contractor shall engage 1 (One) No. of labourers for every 1500 sqm daily as directed by Engineer-in-charge.Failure to employ the above minimum numbers of labour will attract penal clause as per additional special condition of contract attached with the tender for every default of labour. 7. The contractor shall supply the PPE to the garden labour and they should wear the PPE during thier working hours.

3Supply and spreading of Fertilizer (urea), neem cake including cost of fertilizer and neem cake etc., all as per specification for Orchard plants / trees at the rate of 0.01kg/Sqm for fertilizer and 0.005kg/Sqmof neem cake, all as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
4Collection, supply and spraying of pesticides / fungicides / growth regulators in the lawn area and hedges by sprayer etc., including cost of collection, supply and spraying of pesticides / fungicides /growth regulators etc., all as per specification.
5Operation of Garden water supply pumps located in different areas of DAE Main gate area including operating regulation valves and different sector of garden network, monitoring water level in the wells to avoid dry run of motor and cleaning the pumps, pump room, etc., complete.as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note : The Contractor has to engage minimum of 1 operator general shift timing 9.00 to 17.30 hours every day throughout the year excluding Sundays and holidays. If any shortfall found during the contract period, he will be penalised at the rate of 3.0 units/operator/day shall be deducted from the RA bills.
6Sweeping and Cleaning the pathway areas / road surfaces / water table / road junction areas on both sides of roads inside & outside IGCAR complex area and when & where ever required including collecting upto 200m and stacking swept material for disposal upto 4km and as directed by the engineer. Note: 1. Every time cleaning area shall be measured for payment. 2. The contractor shall engage minimum 1 numbers of workers daily as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Failure to deploy the minimum numbers of labour will attract recovery with the minimum wages for every default of labour. 3. The contractor shall supply the necessary PPE to the workers. 4.The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of sweeping materials to the dumping yard near CTS gate or at PRP compound wall north side. 5. The rate should also include the hire charges for sweeping tools etc. 6. The Contractor has to clean the pavement areas four times in a month ( i.e., total sq.m per month X 4 times ).
7Trimming of tree branches which gives hinderance to buildings, road side, etc., including collecting and disposing the fallen trees / branches at places shown by the daepartment all as per specification and as directed dby the Engineer-in-charge.(measured at a height of 1 m above ground level).

9Providing and laying the following sizes PVC water supply line with "Finolex / Varun / Truebore" or approved equivalent make PVC pipes suitable for 6 kg/sq.cm pressure and specials conforming & marked to to IS:4985 including jointing with PVC jointing compound, laying and fixing the pipes in the excavated trenches, cost of all types of specials such as tees, reduces, coupler, reducing bushes, threaded adaptor, elbow, tail pieces, caps etc., and testing the line as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

17Rectifying the PVC pipe line burst of the following dia of water line by removing the damaged portion of PVC pipes, replacing with new pipes and restoring the water supply including cutting the damaged pipes, cleaning / scrubbing the surface, fixing the new pipe with necessary solvent cement of approved make etc., all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (Note: Cost for PVC pipe and specials will be paid separately under relevant item.)

21Levelling, bull-dozing the heeped/dumped loosened earth/debris etc., by hiring JCB etc., incluing labour if any and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
22Earthwork in excavation necessary for construction of roadway, paver block, etc. including dressing, trimming and compaction the cut formation in accordance with requirements of lines, levels, cross fall etc. all complete as per specifications and disposal of all cut surplus / unsuitable materials and stacking of suitable materials with all lifts and lead upto 50metres as perspecification for road works and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

34Conveying the surplus excavated earth & debris, boulders and spoil by mechanical means and depositing at places inside DAE installation identified as Dumping yard as per requirement with a lead specified below including loading, unloading, breaking clods, levelling all complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: 1) The rates in respect of this Item are applicable for the NET Quantities arrived at after making deductions for voids @ 20% in respect of soil and @ 50% in respect of Rock from the corresponding Stack / Truck measurements. 2)The earth shall be dumped well inside the Dumping yard and not over approach pathway road.
