Direction boards are used at the time of any direction change in the pipeline in between two KM posts to indicate any direction changes in the pipeline. Warning sign boards are used in pipelines to caution people nearby about identifying that a pipeline is passing near the board, and in case of any emergency, contact details of SPL will be displayed on the warning sign board. As all three sign boards are crucial for SPL safety, identifying or tracing the pipeline will be easier during maintenance activities. Due to ageing and other factors, these sign boards are being damaged in some areas of the pipeline in the Valve Station sector <(>&<)> 251 to 267 chainage points.
