(b)Sign boards:- Retro reflective sheeting class C, 3m Diamond Grade 3 (DG3) confirming to ASTMD 4956.09 type -XI with pressure sensitive adesive fixed to UPVC sheet& frame as per manufactures instruction. Size and shape of signs/numbers/indications & letters etc, complete all as specified and directed. (c)Sign boards fixing :-PCC 1:2:4 Type B-2 using 40 mm graded crushed stone aggregate in pit of size 45 x 45 x 60 cm & including excavation/earthwork in any type of soil , returning filling and removal of surplus soil etc, out side runway/links complete all as specified and directed.Note :-(i) "No Claim" shall be quoted by contractor if there is stopage of work due to air craft coming and going. | 5 | M & L for preparation of existing painted/unpainted surfaces on Runway, Dispersal & Links (painting lines, dashes, arrows, threshold, touchdown point, designation letters etc)of pavements with compressed air blower 50 to 90 PSI, coir, wire brushes to remove all loose dirt, dust, grease spots or any foreign materials etc, over 10 cm in width or girth and applying a coat of water based (water thinable) acrylic road marking paint (Black/white/golden yellow/orange) the approved shade and pattern with black colour, border strips on either sides of other colours marking, complete all as specified and directed. Note :-(i) The Black strips on either side of other colour paint line, arrows letter, dashes shall be measured combined width wise for the purpose of calculating the area of painting. (ii) Rate quoted shall be deemed to be inclusive of supply and fixing of masking tape to protect pavement surface for spilled out of paint and removal & disposal of the same from MOD land. (iii) Site availability shall be as per User"s /site requirement any time in working hours.. (iv) Rate including from any aircraft coming and stoppage of work in a day. | 7 | Supply and fix visible three face distance to go marker DTGM, each face (perforated) of size 1.20m x 1.50m of triangular (hollow) shape, made of frangible high grade reinforced plastic board, internal structure fabricated using 04 Nos fibre channel 65 x 30 x 3 cm thick monolithic structure to withstand high velocity winds resist temperature varying from extreme cold environments to sweltering hot conditions, the entire triangular structure fixed on 03 Nos,40mm dia 2.10 mtr long PVC pipe with suitable size of screws @ 15cm C/C and the distance go marker monolithic structure embedded in plain cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate in pit of size 30cm x 30cm x 60cm including painting the entire structure internally and externally with two coats of first quality synthetic enamel paint and finally sticking the numerals on (two) view face of board with high intensity prismatic reflector sheet 15cm wide and height of numerals as per requirement of Aviation guidelines complete including excavation/earthwork in any type soil, returning filling and removal of surplus soil etc outside vicinity of Runway complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. | 8 | M & L for grass cutting upto zero level along the pavement shoulders, around sign board and DTGM by Mechanically/manually and daily cutting grass removed in out side of MoD land at contractor is own arrangement at location or to be burn of with fire controlled complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i)Since the work is a safety requirement for Air Field. The entire quantity is to be executed in the 11 month period. (ii) Four No"s labours & grass cutting machine (including petrol) are required in every day of the contract period except Sunday/Holiday. Otherwise market rate will be recovered from contractor for not deploying of labours and grass cutting machine (with petrol). (iii) "No Claim" shall be quoted by contractor if even is stopage of work, due to air craft coming and going. (iv) Site availability shall be as per User"s /site requirement any time in working hours. |
| 9 | M & L for cleaning the surface by brushing wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with compressor air blower to remove all loose dust and dirt etc/taking out dust/existing material with compressed air and making the surface free from dust, drying the surface and applying two coats of Polymeric Modified Emulsion (PME) by using self-propelled emulsion distribution uniformly or towed emulsion pressure sprayer, equipped for spraying the PME uniformly & mopping of total undiluted PME @ minimum 1.00 litre per sqm undiluted in two coats in the ratio 1:1 (PME : Water) and ensure uniform finish complete all all specified and as directed. Note :- The tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting his rate for the item (i)No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of polymer modified emulsion (PME) than that mentioned above is used depending upon condition of the surface to be treated. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorised & registered applicator of the manufacturer. (iii)A performance guarantee certificate for two year shall be submitted by the contractor to the completion of the works as specified. (iv)PME must have penetration value of 10-20 mm and initial setting time four to five hours but not more than eight hours. (v)Special care shall be taken to fill gaps/crackswith 6mm to 2.36 mm size coarse sand as per manufacturer’s instructions and quoted rate is included for repair of gaps/cracks. (vi)Cost of trial patch 15m x 15m deemed to be included in rates quoted for above item (vi) "No Claim" shall be quoted by contractor if even is stopage of work, due to air craft coming and going. (vii) Site availability shall be as per User"s /site requirement any time in working hours. |
