Tender For Expression Of Interest Invited From Ngos/Csos/ Cbos For Project Goal: Major Objectives of the Programme: The overarching objective of the programme is to comprehensively enhance the livelihood promotion of women farmers through BYP (backyard Poultry), agricultural sectors by: • Capacity building of women entrepreneurs, FPCs/FPOs on Basics of Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy and governance. • Providing higher-order support to women entrepreneurs such as securing market linkages, government schemes linkages, formalization and regulatory compliance of the enterprises, market intelligence support, access to technology & skills, and business ideation. • Providing regular monitoring and handholding support to women entrepreneurs through periodic field visits, reporting. • Increased returns to farmers from BYP, agricultural products through increased production, reduction in cost of production and increased returns from direct linkage with formal markets. • Promote farm mechanization and climate resilient agriculture practices for sustainability of production systems, • Increased participation of women in BYP and agricultural value chain • Build capacity of farmers and their organizations i.e., FPCs/FPOs • Increased involvement of value chain players including academia, research agencies, processors, and service providers etc. for holistic development. • Promote local consumption in food and family nutrition. • Training and extension in BYP management practices and harvest management. • Strengthen role of information and technology in the value chain. The Target group for Programs: • Smallholder farmers: Working with smallholder farmers to strategically address local demand in select livestock, poultry and agricultural value chains and drive food self-sufficiency. • Women farmers: Working to address the bottlenecks hindering women farmers from achieving a living income. • Youth: Unlocking the potential the youth in agriculture space towards making it attractive. • Social Capital Entities (SHG, FPCs/FPO, Cooperatives, etc.): Partnering with Social Capital Entities such as Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Cooperatives, etc. to enhance collective strength and community impact.
