( A ) Drilling 1 Bore Hole At Specified Locations At The Site With Hand Operated Shell And Auger Technique Up To At Least 5M Depth From Gl ( Or Up To Hard Strata Whose N>50 ) , As Per The Guidelines Given In Is-1892-1981. Calibrated Standard Penetration Tests Shall Be Conducted At Various Depths In The Borehole As Per Is 2131 1981 In Order To Know The Relative Stiffness Of The Subsoil Strata. Undisturbed Samples Shall Be Collected Whereever Possible With Thin Walled Shell By Tubes As Per The Guidelines Given In Is 2132-1986. The Sampling Tubes Shall Be Sealed With Wax To Prevent Loss Of Moisture. Disturbed Samplesshall Be Collected In Polythene Bags And Labled ( You May Consider Any Other Approved Methodology In Line With Relevant Indian Standards ) . ( B ) Conducting Relevant Laboratory Tests On The Soil Samples Collected At Site, As Per Relevant Is Specification / Literature. ( C ) Submission Of Geotechnical Report With Recommendations For Design And Construction Of Foundations. Report Shall Contain Brief Description Of Methodology Adopted For Soil Investigation And Arriving At Conclusions. ( D ) Following Laboratory Tests Shall Conducted / Interpreted Wherever Applicable On Soil Samples Collected At Site. ( I ) Grain Size Analysis ( Ii ) Atterberg Limits ( Iii ) Specific Gravity ( Iv ) Free Swell Index Test ( V ) Natural Density & Water Content ( Vi ) Triaxial / Direct Shear Tests ( Vii ) Results Like Type, C & O Etc.
