In case of soft ground, a proper foundation may be provided as per approved design. In case foundation is required to be provided, the items of excavation and foundation concrete are required to be measured and paid separately.

The rate for cement concrete shall be taken from the chapter of sub-structure in bridge section. 12.The cost of reinforced earth retaining wall shall include following: (I) Excavation for foundation including backfilling. (ii) Foundation concrete as per approved design. (iii) Cost of facial panels and their erection . (iv) Cost of reinforcing elements including their fixing and joining with the facial panels. (v) Drainage arrangement including filter media as per approved design and drawings. 13. The compacted earth filling to be retained shall form part of embankment.
