It features a mild steel shell with copper tubes arranged in a two-pass design. Cold air passes over the tubes, while hot water from a geyser circulates through them. Baffles enhance heat exchange, including 25% cut baffles in the air path. Components: Shell: Inner Diameter: 150 mm, Length: 750 mm(of more than these values) Material: Mild Steel Design: Two-pass with end boxes, 4 equidistant 25% cut baffles Insulation:Asbestos Cloth Tubes: Material: Copper, Outer Diameter: 1/4 or higher, Fluids: Cold Fluid: Air Hot Fluid: Geyser-sourced water (3 kW capacity) Flow Path: Two-pass with baffles Air Supply:Centrifugal Blower: 1/2 HP or higher Measurement: Measuring Tank: Water flow rate Orifice: Air flow with water manometer with proper readability and accuracy Thermometers: inlet and outlet temperatures with proper calibration Stop Clock: Precise water flow measurement Educational Features: Students can determine: Heat transfer rate, Heat transfer coefficient, Log Mean Temperature Difference (LMDT)Effectiveness of the heat exchanger Flow Conditions: Experiments in both laminar and turbulent air flow conditions are possible.
