| 1 | Design, supply, install, testing & commissioning electrically operated, overhead traveling (EOT) cranes of capacity to lift 10 Ton, conforming to IS-3177 & IS-807 (latest version) having span of 16 m, height of lift 6 m, travel bay length 17 m suitable for operation on 415 Volts, 3 Phase, 4 wire, 50 HZ supply, double girder complete with necessary steel supporting structure, runway beam with hoist speed 2mtrs/min, cross travel speed 5 mtrs/min & long travel 20 mtrs/min with micro speed 10% as recommended by OEM. The crane inclusive of control panel, power and controlling cables, pendent push button station, radio remote control operation, motors, gear box, rope drum & rope guide, limit switches, bottom block, wire rope, end truck buffer, brakes, wheels, pendent DSL system of shrouded bus bar for LT and pendent festoon for CT including providing platform on both sides of bridge girder with non-skid 5mm thick steel chequered plate along the entire length of the crane, bridge width having 0.5mtr securely fenced with double tired guard rails having minimum height of 1.1mtr. |
| 2 | Access ladder on both side of bay to facilitate maintenance of crane. Both ladders shall be provided with guards to prevent fall and comprising of following components / accessories all as specified and directed. (a) Double Girder box type construction fabricated using fresh tested steel plates conforming to IS: 2062 grade "A" quality obtained directly from main steel producers such as SAIL, RINL, TISCO. (b) Squirrel cage inductor crane duty motors TEFC, "F" class insulation suitable capacity conforming to IS: 325 and IS: 123 and as amended upto date suitable for 150 starts per hour and motor shall be heavy duty reversible crane duty type with 40% CDF for hoist, CT & LT to work on AC 415 Volts, 3 phase, 50 Hz. (c) Double shoe DC electromagnetic disc brakes / shoe type brakes / hydraulic thruster type brakes shall be provided in all motions with suitable sizes. |
| 3 | (d) Wheels shall be forged steel made of C55 Mn 75 carbon steel and suitable hardness, double flanged straight tread type fitted with antifriction roller bearing with supported on "L" type live steel axels bearing housing assembly. (e) Wire rope with fibre core of size 8mm dia, having 04 falls conforming to IS: 2266 minimum factor of safey and tensile strength 1960N/mm2 as per ISO: 4309:1990 complete with rope drum fabricated from seamless pipe duly machined and grooved to accommodate full length of rope in one layer. The drum shall be mounted on antifriction hall / roller bearings. Make: Usha, Martin. (f) Gear box of crane shall be totally enclosed in dust proof construction shall be machined from alloy steel and hardened. All gearing is enclosed in a rugged steel housing and initial filling of oil / grease splash lubricated. |
| 4 | (g) Control panel indoor type made out of 2mm thick CRCA dust and vermin proof sheet powder coated painting comprising of variable speed drives (VVVF type) meeting the latest crane control solution enhances crane performances without worries and smooth operation, different operating speed for each process, accurate positioning, suitable switchgears, contactors, meters, relay transformers and components, control wiring etc as per OEM. (h) Control wiring and power wiring, PVC flexible pendent festoon system supported on MS troller for CT and DSL system of suitable rating for LT all as per OEM. (j) Limit switches for upper and lower hoisting and for Cross travel & long Travel. (k) Bottom block shall be equipped with protective guard around the opening, shank type forged hook "C" type, swivelling on thrust bearing tested as per IS 15560. (l) Emergency stop button to shutting off the power to the main contractors shall be provided. |
| 5 | (m) End carriages with standard rolled steel section or welded plate box section type shall be assembled to ensure alignment of bearings and axels, twin drive arrangement, main cross girders to end trucks connection are bolted to ease in assembly. Rubber buffers on all end trucks when a moving crane or trolley reaches the ends of its permitted travel. (n) Hoisting machinery / crab of heavy duty industrial type. (o) Painting of crane with one coat of primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint of golden yellow of 25 micron. Final touch up will be done after erection at site and writing the details of crane like capaicty, date of installation, load details etc. (p) Pendent push button station shall have push buttons for each motion, bridge light, siren / bell, on and off switches, emergency stop switch and shall be hanged in the middle of girder with chrome plated steel chain duly covered with sleeve. Pendent push button type moving independent of crab along the full length of bridge on separate track. |
| 6 | (q) Radio remote control for all motions and shall have multispeed steps of operation complete with two sets of long life Nickel cadmium batteries and battery charger shall be provided (i.e. one set installed battery +one set spare battery+ one charger) for each radio remote. (r) 03 Nos of LED light fitting 90 watts shall be provided under the girder - 02 Nos and 01 No under CT trolley. (s) Earthing shall be carried out as per IS of quantity as suggested by OEM. (t) Welded joint testing shall be subjected to 10% X-ray testing and X-ray films to be provided for evaluation.(u) Load indicator shall be provided. (v) Supply and erection of gantry rail with sutaible size ramp which is easy to walk in any faliur of crane in work time. |

| 10 | M&L for Earthing complete with galvanised steel,earth plate electrode 600x600mm x 6mm thick buried directly in ground vertically (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtrs belowground level ) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 mtrs below normal ground level connected to galvanised iron 32 x 6 mm strip as earth lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron/steel all as shown in electrical plate No 3 on page 497 of MES schedule 2009 part-I connected to main switch board/main DBs/earthing test point including all necessary excavation and earth work in hard/dense soil common salt and charcoal dust mixed and packed 150mm thick all round the GI earth plate, watering pipe 20mm dia GI medium grade. GI sheet 0.63 mm thick funnel, wire gauge, 50mm thick RCC cover in PCC 1:2:4 type B1 duly reinforced with MS round bars 6mm dia @ 150c/c both ways and pit/chamber in PCC 1:3:6 type C1 with suitable lifting handleto cover, GI protection pipe 40mm dia light grade up to 7.5mtr from electrode GI pipe to be fixed with complete all as specified and directed. Notes:- (i) Main earthing strip from earth plate electrode to test point upto length of 7.5 metres length shalldeem to be included in the unit rate quoted against this item. (ii) GI protection pipe & earthing lead beyond 7.5 metres shall be measured and paid for separately under appropriate item of Sch A part-I. (iii) On testing after completion ifdesired resistance is not obtained, the contractor shall redo the earthing without any extra cost to the department. |
