| 3 | Material and labour for 40mm consolidated thickness design mix semi dense bituminous concrete with 5.5% binder content of paving bitumen Gde-VG-30 by weight of total mix, mixed in mechanical hot mixed plant and pre-mixed material laid with mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with 8 to 10 tonne power roller to required compaction complete all as specified in the relevant clauses of SSR Part-I (2009) and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note- i) Semi dense bituminous concrete shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined following the Marshall mix design procedure contained in the Asphalt Institute Manual MS-2 ( Sixth Edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111: 2009, The adjustment in rate on MINUS side variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of Rs 60.00 per Kg. No claim whatsoever shall be made for adjustment in plus side. |
| 4 | Material and labour for preparing bituminious surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows, zebra crossings etc and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads / pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour conforming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine complete all as per manufacturers instructions and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. |
