1General Notes a) Contractor is advised to visit the plant before quotaing the rates to understand the full scope of work. b) Police verification of all the workers engaged in the work is compulsory for making gate pass for entry into the township premises. c) Contractor shall provide all the necessary PPEs to the workers such as Gum boot, hand gloves, mask, hand held torch etc. d) Contractor shall make arrangements for onsite testing of pH, TDS and MLSS on daily basis. e) Contractor shall keep/maintain all the up to date relevant documents pertaing to STP operation such as Daily attendance of manpower, Laboratory test reports, material stock register. f) Contractor shall maintain Log book for machineries operations & daily test parametrs etc. as per the KSPCB guidelines. g) Contrator shall ensure that the KSPCB guidelines are strictly followed in the operations at plant as per the latest gudelines issued from time to time. h) The operator shall keep the entire STP premises neat and clean. i) All the items of substructure includes the cost of dewatering wherever neccesary during the progress of work, till its completion without any extra cost to the Department. Tenderers are advised to visit the site of work to acquaint themselves about the level of subsoil water, drainage facility for dewatering, accessibility to the site etc. and quote the rates accordingly. j) All the debris etc. shall be cleared from site and clearance for the same shall be obtained from safety section, BARC before claiming the final bill. k) For all the supplying and fixing items the rates shall be considered as inclusive of transportation charges. Payment terms & conditions: For part A (Item no. 1 to 37) a) 40% of quoted rate for Supply of Mechanical equipment with all the accessories and relevant documentation viz. tax invoice, Manufactuing test reports, warranty card etc. b) 20% of quoted rate for Installation, Commisioning and testing of individual equipment after compeleting its electrical and piping works to the satisfaction of the Engineer in Charge. c) 40% of quoted rate for Successful demonstration of the plant after conversion to SBR technology with acceptable parameters as per KSPCB guidelines of the treated sewage water analysis (Analysis report shall be obtained from independent approved laboratory). Payment terms & conditions: For part B (Item no. 1 to 37) 100% of quoted rate for the executed work.
2Part A - Revamping/Conversion of STP1 (Item no. 1 to 37) The STP shall be designed to handle a minimum of 200 KLD capacity and maximum to an extent which available infrastructure can accommodate after conversion to the SBR technology and it should also be designed to cater the peak inflow of sewage during peak hours. This includes preparation of Design basis report for Sequential batch reactor (SBR) and the same shall be certified by Government affiliated institutions like NIE/IISC etc. where specialization in Environmental Engineering is available. The certified design shall be submitted to BARC for approval. The work also includes preparation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and flow chart for the SBR type STP and Liaising with Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) for obtaining consent for the establishment (CFE) and operation (CFO) of SBR system etc. complete as per the instructions of Engineer in Complete Note: Contractor shall consider all the above jobs while quoting the rates. Also, the flow chart shall be displayed prominantly, at the STP premises.
3Tank cleaning of: 1 nos. of Septic tank of approx. 100 cum capacity, 1 nos. of Collection tank of approx. 100 cum capacity, 3 nos. of Membrane Bio Reactor tank of approx. 30 cum capacity each, 1 nos. of chemical cleaning tank of approx. 30 cum capcity 1 nos. of Treated water tank of approx. 30 cum capacity and disposing of the sewage to designated place within the premises of BARC up to a lead of 5 km. The rate includes hire charges of the sewage cleaning tanker, required disinfectants like bleaching powder, arrangements of water jet and consumables like fuel for running the pumps etc. complete as per the instructions of Engineer in Complete.
4Earthwork: Earth work excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means in all types of soil other than soft and hard rock, dressing the sides of foundation, ramming of bottom etc. including shoring and dewatering (if necessary) and refilling with selected excavated earth in layers of not more than 500 mm thick, each layer well rammed and consolidated including disposing the surplus earth within a distance of 200 m all as per specifications including clearing Jungle, uprooting of vegetation, grass, etc. complete and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge (a) From 0.00 to 1.50 m depth from Average Ground Level
5Extra over initial depth for every additional Depth of 1.50 m or part thereof in all kinds of soil
6Earth work excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means in foundation, in Soft Rock including shoring, dewatering if necessary, dressing the sides, ramming the bottom, refilling the sides etc. with available selected excavated earth in layers of not exceeding 500 mm in depth, each layer well rammed and consolidated disposal of surplus excavated material within a lead of 200 m complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. 29Supply, installation, testing and commisioning of 2 nos. of Raw sewage transfer pump (1 working + 1 stand by configuration) with a capacity of 30 m3/hr @ 15 mtrs head, Non-clog Submersible cutter pump with SS/CI construction suitable to handle up to 25 mm of particle size, pump construction should be detachable type for the maintenance purpose. The sand pressure filter vessel shall be fabricated out of MS plate not less than 5mm thick with dish ends out of 6mm thick plate or thickness as per ASME design whichever is higer and painted internally wih two coats of zinc chromate primer followed by two coats of anti-corrosive epoxy paint and externally with two coats of zinc chromate primer followed by two coats of epoxy paint of approved colour., with suitable MS frontal piping along with butterfly valves for the opeartion: Back wash duration - 15 minutes (approx.), Filtering Media - Sand/Pebbles. 71Part B - Commisioning and Performance testing (Item no. 38 to 41) Commisioning and Performance testing of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in BARC Township @ Yelwal, Mysuru with manpower deployment for three shifts under proper supervision. Maintianing all mechanical machinery and pumps like sewage transfer pumps, Screw pumps, dozing pumps, air blower and filter press in good working conditions both working and standby pumpsincluding replacement of minor spares such as belt, seal, oiling & greasing etc. complete as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Note: The contractor has to supply one operator in each shift and & one assistant in general shift and maintain Proper attendance register. Working prnciple of STP: Stage-1: Initially SMBR based STP shall be operated, Stage-2: Partial plant to be operated on SMBR basis and partial plant to be operated on SBR basis during transition period and Stage-3: After commisioning the SBRtechnology the plant shall be operated on SBR technology. Mode of Measurement: For operator and assistant one Job means working for 8 hrs. and a supervisor shall visit the plant twice in a month (preferably once in 15 days). Recovery: In case of absentees no payment shall be considered and additionally panelty also shall be recovered as detailed below: 1) For every absentees of operator as mentioned in sub-item no. 1, 2 and 3, Rs. 200 will be recovered as panelty from running/final bill. 2) For every absentees of Assistant as mentioned in sub-item no. 4, Rs. 150 will be recovered as panelty from running/final bill. 3) For a particular calender month: (i) In case of only one visit by Supervisor in the month a recovery of Rs. 900 will be made and (ii) In case of no vist by Supervisor a recovery of Rs. 1800 will be made. Emergency sitiuation: In case of any emergency sitiuation; operator, Assistant or Supervisor may have to do extra hrs. of work occasionally as directed by the Engineer in charge and no extra payment shall be made in lieu of this extra working hours.

77Operation of one no. of 40 KVA Diesel generator set with acoustic outdoor enclosure, with starting batteries and charging equipment (Air cooled, 4 cylinder, 4 stroke engine with mechanical governor, turbo charged engine coupled to self – excited brushless alternator.
